One of the worst hotel here.
The street around this hotel is extremely dirty at first. Once we arrived at the hotel, we found the front gate and reception which was not the one like the hotel but like the backyard of illegal casino. The sofa was occupied by the staff who are casual soccer uniforms style. You will be asked to take a rest in the rooftop lounge before check in after payment regardless of the time and you have to deposit your all luggage to soccer players. When you ask the pass of wifi, you’ll get wrong password and eventually the slowest network.
In the rooftop bar, the scenery was amazing thanks to pyramids with drinking coke which is room temperature.
We thought it’s their welcoming way to use confidential rooftop but we know now it was just for hiding bad part of their potentials to keep good ranks on booking site. The room was terrible dirty with door and window broken. By our complain, they finally prepared for better room and they asked us to cancel the room on the booking website without any extra fee. They explained that they just wanted to modify the booking record correctly on their system and we accepted it. The shower in the new room was of course out of gas and we got some cold water with bad smell. Fortunately the bed can be acceptable.
When we checked out, they finally asked me to give high rank in the website in front of them. But we rejected it. I finally understand the reason of all their behaviors were to avoid the low rank on the website.
I hope everyone who find this comment will avoid this property unless you prefer...
Read moreIt's a bad place and highly not recommended -It's hard to access it -The elevator isn't working and the café is in the forth floor so it's not suitable for old people -The staff member mentioned there's a minimum charge per person but didn't mention that there is nothing in the menu was available except for less than 10 items until after we sat and started to order so either to pay the minimum charge and leave or order the unavailable menu!!!!!!! -The menu is overpriced -They add 15% services tax which is more than the usual services tax in Egypt -Their chocolate milkshake is literally Juhayna Mix Chocolate but was blended with an immersion blender just to make it look foamy -They didn't give us a receipt -When we complained, the staff member became rude and...
Read moreSome of the rooms are done up really well, the one we stayed in (room4) unfortunately not very nicely done. Aircon didn't work, shower curtain wasn't appropriate and left bathroom flooded
The breakfast was traditional Egyptian (foul, pita, fig jam and tea) - not bad but nothing to phone home about.
The host, Gouda (pronounced 'good-ah'), was very friendly and we'll spoken.
The location wasn't great ( kind of back-alley ish) but you could see the pyramids from the top balcony.
The new years entertainment was pretty good, dancers, fire eaters, etc. The locals love to encourage you to join in!
A different experience!
If you are used to luxury, perhaps don't stay here but the...
