My son and I visited Paris after an amazing few days in London at a fantastic hotel. Arriving at this hotel was definitely a letdown. The room and bathroom were so tiny. There was barely room to move around especially with no place to really put any luggage. The bed was very small as well. The room was hot even with the thermostat turned down and we had to sleep without covers most of the time. The bed was also kind of hard and was smaller than we thought it would be. We had a pretty cool terrace but not much of a view. In the bathroom, you have to take a very large step to get in and out of the tub and it was very slippery. I was definitely concerned we might fall at some point but thankfully we did not. The hotel provides regular size towels for the bathroom but no wash cloths. There are no other amenities in the room, not even a bottle of water (just a costly mini bar in the closet). The lobby is also very small with only one entrance/exit. We had quite a few rude people from the pub next door who blocked the doorway multiple times and seemed offended we would dare excuse ourselves so we could enter or exit. The elevators are also extremely small and a little creepy. One was even smaller than the other, fitting 2 people at max. There was a lot of noise coming from outside as well as within the hotel, including slamming doors and some sort of construction noise. The staff were nice enough but not overly helpful. I needed a plug adapter and they originally said they didn't have any. Once I told them I was trying to plug in a fan to cool us down some and drown out the noise in the room, they eventually came up with one. Interestingly enough, I noticed a cabinet near the lobby with several of them for sale the next morning. There are also no irons or ironing boards in the room. We had to ask for this each day and it took forever to get. The only pro is the location. It was fairly walkable to some great restaurants and tourist spots. I'd suggest looking at other nearby hotels before...
Read moreWe stayed here for our final night in Paris to decompress after our 2 1/2 week trip between Paris and Italy for the new year. I loved the hotel! Its cozy and dreamy like atmosphere is calming. Its close to major restaurants and about 45 minutes from CDG airport (if little traffic). We stayed in the suite that has a hot tub and garden terrace. I gave 4 stars for 2 reasons 1. The main reason we booked this hotel was because its 1 of the few hotels that has a private Jacuzzi in the room. Unfortunately, the Jacuzzi was not hot, it would only get warm, which is handy in summer or spring months but in early January when the weather is 28 degrees hot water in the hot tub is a necessity. 2. This is small but it mattered to me. We paid in full for the room in advance 1 week before we left for Europe. Which was in December. Yet, when we got to the hotel we were still charged the €100 deposit. Now in Europe most hotels that I have been to, don't place a hold for the deposit if you have paid in advance. So just be prepared for that. The amount of Euros were not a problem but we shouldn't have had to pay the deposit if the money was paid in full in advance before the stay.
Other than that the service was amazing and the concierge was friendly and very helpful, he came to show us everything in the room. Now lets talk about the room! Its spacious, and designed beautifully. There is a feature in this room besides the Jacuzzi that many will appreciate which is the automatic toilet! Also the closet has a see through floor. And the bed is so comfortable! The hotel street is quiet but close to alot and if you don't want to go out and walk in true European fashion Uber Eats delivers plenty options here! The breakfast buffet is good so you won't be disappointed! Great stay for us we...
Read moreVery unenjoyable stay. Rooms very small (even by Paris standards), water not provided in the room & we were requested to pay for a bottle (note, this is supposed to be a 4-star hotel). The worst part was the hotel was undergoing renovations; the renovations team were using a vey strong solvent to remove carpet adhesive, this solvent was over-powering & made it impossible to stay in our rooms for any period after 7.30am without feeling nauseous and getting headaches. We complained to the front desk & the only response was "Yes, it is unbearable". We could not eat breakfast there because of the solvent fumes, we did try to just eat fast and get out but even then it was really unappetizing because the staff were obviously affected the fumes and coughing all over everything. The solvent did dissipate through the day and the rooms were habitable again by ~8-9pm, but overall, it really was a money-grubbing disgrace to let rooms while the hotel was in such a state. I wound not recommend this hotel; even in the absence of the renovation issue, the hotel is not worth the charges. It is better to stay somewhere like the Westin for the same price and...
