Restaurant Pompei — Restaurant in Paris

First of all, this is my first google review in my life. Normally i dont write reviews, but this is a exeption! I have to share my experience about this restaurant with the world and i hope that this wil not overcome somebody else.

As an Italian restaurant, this is the worst restaurant i have ever been in my entire life. The food was just bad bad bad bad! The staf was weird and the owner doesnt give a F* becouse he knows that you'r a tourist and probbably you wil never come back again.

My first dish was a pasta dish. The pasta i got was sloppy and overcooked ! When i showed this to the waiter he proved me right and appologized, he took the food back and I decided to give the kitchen a second chance.

I didnt want the pasta anymore and i ordered a pizza becouse i thought that this was een save choice (they can''t screw a pizza is what i thought). Well i was verry wrong! I was suprised that when the waiter came with the pizza that the pizza was even worse than the pasta. The pizza was sloppy and overcooked asswel, the cheese was waterry en the pizza was floating in water. This was enough ! I decided to go and I returned the pizza to the waiter. The waiter was really friendly and he aproved that the food was bad he appologized again too me. He looked to me like a poor man who works hard for his money.

I was expecting at least a apologize from the owner and him saing at least that I don't have to pay for the food i didnt eat! . Instead the owner told me that there is nothing wrong with the food and he was realy rude, he was totally ignoring my criticism and was not respecting me as a costumer. They were loughing at me when i was complaining about the food and i had to pay for the bad food i didnt eat!. I wil make another post about the food of my girlfriend. I had to pay a total of € 46,00 euro and € 17,00 euro for the pizza i didn''t eat. This is the most bad restaurant experience that i have had in my entire life. I wold not recomand this...

Ok well here’s why I went. I wanted pizza and the weather report was for rain this evening. I was staying at a hotel down the block.

Pizza was tasteless cardboard Also wanted the Veal Scallopini with lemon as an appetizer. Truly AWFUL! A deluge of overly sour thick sauce not fit for human consumption. Truly disgusting! … leaving the best for last… 20 minute wait to get the bill, I asked for it 3 times with hardly anyone there. And the bill is not for the pizza and the veal appetizer, but for two entrees!

In conclusion, bad food, overcharged, arrogant, long waits for no purpose. I guess the concept ‘You are in the service industry’ was missed.

I love Paris and have been prior and will return, but this place reeks of the ‘Parisienne arrogant entitlement’ attitude of old that I despise. Luckily, this is the only place I dealt with this on this trip.

Run from this place!!! Do NOT enter.

Seems they are getting a lot of VERY bad reviews and I’d say that these are all well deserved.

We were a party of four on Monday evening right after 20.00. It was almost full and they put at the second floor. It was warm as they didn’t on yet the A/C or at least we didn’t feel until when dishes come. Clamp Spaghetti was delicious and cooked right. The spicy and flavor were what we all loved and finished it first. The grilled salmon was grilled to perfection though we didn’t like the peas and carrots, so we left out. The pizza was truly Italian way. The crust was crispy, thin and soft. The mozzarella in rightful portion was fresh as well as the tomatoes. We finished them second. We were devouring it. The least preferred was the Linguine Aglio Orio. My son wanted to try but disappointed. I was fine because it was cooked rightly with balanced flavor. The service was good. We were served within fifteen minutes. The waiter was kind to give us a small bucket of ice while most restaurants would give you just a small...
