A real gem for expats and pub lovers in Paris!
As a lover of authentic pubs, I was genuinely impressed by The Cricketer. This place captures the true spirit of a classic British and Irish pub—warm, welcoming, and full of character.
The atmosphere is just right: wood-panelled interiors, vintage cricket memorabilia, and just the right amount of buzz to make you feel at home, whether you're solo or with friends and family. The staff are incredibly friendly and genuinely seem to enjoy what they do—service was attentive, easygoing, and full of good vibes.
The beer selection is solid, with proper pints of Guinness (poured to perfection), lagers, ales, and a few local options for those who want to mix it up. We also tried the fish & chips and the blue cheesburger—both delicious and clearly made with care. Portions were generous and well-priced for Paris.
Whether you're catching a game, craving a real pint, or just want a cosy, no-nonsense spot to hang out, The Cricketer delivers. I’ve already been twice in the same week—safe to say I’ve found my go-to pub in Paris.

Read moreGreat place. I arrived round 9pm to watch the football and it was packed. Great atmosphere. They were showing German and French football but I asked the barman/manager to change to English football and he did immediately on one of the many screens.
I had two pints of Guinness (€8 each), and a starter platter for two (I was on my own). It was beautiful and plentiful. I paid €16, well worth it. It came with 3 chicken wings, 4 onion rings, 3 chunks of hot camembert cheese (my favourite), 4 long chicken goujons and very tasty chips. I ate it all.
Both the barman and barwoman speak English, he is British. Totally under control for such a busy place.
