Rugs Hotel Düsseldorf — Hotel in Dusseldorf

Well, difficult to find the hotel because outside it says Batavia. On the entrance rug it says Rugs. Dated reception, the bar shown in pictures is not there anymore. |We got a spacious and comfortable room. Liked that the windows could open because it was hot outside. Also had a door to a "fire-balcony" with a chair to sit in outside. Bathroom was ok. Price decent.|The confusing thing was the information in the room. If we not wanted the room cleaned: tell reception and get a free drink in the bar! The bar is gone and the receptionist understood nothing. Info in the room also said Batavia.|There was a note asking guests to be quiet, not jump or do things that will be noisy. Made us wonder if we were at a cheap hotel for school groups or backpackers....|Very small elevator. We liked the central location. Didn´t try the breakfast because we thought that one might be disappointing, too.|I can´t really understand the "Fantastic" rewiews I read before...

This is a great Hotel for the price, you can't get more, trust me. It's located in the center, nearby the Central train station. everything else you need, bar, shops, bakerys, restaurants and bus or tram station are all around you. Easy to walk to the historic part of the city. The room is not the newest one but it was clean and with comfortable beds. Having a socket beside the beds would be a great improvement as we didn't have any. The room contained a fridge that came really handy to keep our beverage cold. The street was quiet over night and we had a great sleep. Staff was amazing, the lady at reception let us check out an hour later with no charge and offered to hold on our luggage untill we had to go for the airport that evening. All together, a great place to stay for the money and if ever there again, that place would be again my choice...

My stay at Rugs Hotel was okay but disappointing overall for the price. The bed was extremely hard and uncomfortable, and the noise from the front street made it difficult to sleep unless the windows were completely closed. The breakfast was both expensive and poor in quality — definitely not worth it.

The elevator is very small, the internet connection was unreliable and kept disconnecting, and there were no complimentary coffee sachets in the room, which is quite basic for a hotel in this price range. Overall, the stay felt overpriced for what...
