Monastiraki Place — Hotel in Athens

Perfect location for sightseeing. Everything is very close, at walking distance (max 20 minutes walking) and it’s very close to (clothing) shops, restaurants and nightlife. It’s very close to monastiraki square as well, which has a beautiful view of the acropolis. The checking in and out was a little bit unusual, but very convenient! The staff was communicating with us very clearly, which was very nice. The bed and sheets felt nice and clean, the table and floor were clean enough. The only downside is that the shower head had no holder in the wall, if you know what I mean. You had to hold the shower head yourself while showering. The price was very good for what we got! Great location, just steps away from Monastiraki metro station. Clear check-in instructions and responsive host. The building seems to be a bit old, but the room is spacious and clean. I wished there was more hooks on the walls so that we can hang more stuff up. Shower door doesn't close tight enough so some water does spill. The perimeter of the sink could use a bit of caulking/ sealant as there were tiny cockroaches coming through the cracks. One of the dining chairs is missing a bolt/nut... Anyway, just some small things that didn't really impact our stay, but could have improved the overall experience. The lockers in the hallway is useful/ great for storing...

Can take the metro m3 from the airport and walk in less than 5 min. To the lodging. Very convenient. However, that's it. Very noisy at night from nearby bars and the place itself is so-so. The shower door is left missing, clothing rack only has 4 hangers so not enough for 2 people to hang clothes, one of the room lights remains out, and even with the other lights, the room is still very dimmed.
