Veneto1860 Seaview Restaurant — Restaurant in Municipality of Heraklion

The food I received here was very disappointing. Salmon overcooked and hard, came with a salad only, no nice dressing, it was rather bitter and sour, not tasty. Came also with mayonnaise! A nonsense. One would expect potatoes, rice, lemon. This meal for 18 euro was not worth the price at all. I ate only because I was very hungry after a long journey. I believe you can't charge this much for such a dish, of less than a mediocre quality. Tzatziki without any taste, a small portion compared to other places. At home we cook better, I was really disappointed here. Got an impression the cook isn't professional here.

The other meal was simple meat with potatoes and wasn't so bad, same as zucchini balls were okey.

The only positive impression was the nice waitress here, who was unfortunately for an entire restaurant all alone! That's why everything took long. But it's not her fault, it's definitely fault of the bad...

As a group visiting from the United States, we had the chance to dine at Veneto in Heraklion — and it was simply an unforgettable experience. The food was outstanding, the menu carefully crafted, and the view absolutely breathtaking.

What truly made the night special, however, was our waiter Panagiotis. Always smiling, kind, and with a wonderful sense of humor, he constantly kept us laughing and made us feel like we were dining among friends. He playfully teased us at the table — especially when it came to the wine — adding a lighthearted touch that gave the evening an extra sparkle.

Alongside him, another waiter (unfortunately we didn’t catch his name) was equally attentive and polite, perfectly complementing the experience.

In the end, Veneto is not only a restaurant with delicious food and a stunning view — it’s a place where hospitality comes alive through people. And for us, that person was...

Absolutely terrible experience. Sadly didn’t see the negative reviews until after we ordered.

They were out of the lamb, but we didn’t know until my husband tried to order it. He then ordered the steak and asked for it medium. It came out practically raw in the center and honestly tasted horrible to the point he didn’t even eat it.

The ravioli was average, small pieces and a smaller portion.

The worst part when paying is they asked if we could pay in cash (which is completely fine to ask), we stated we didn’t have any and then they proceeded to say their machine was down and not working clearly not even trying to turn it on???? They then turned it on and it magically worked.
