This place is historical from the time that Venetian people had the control off the island,made from stones in very specific way because the building is very high.they were used as storage facilities for goods in and out the old port near. It was the working place of thousands of People loading them on ships.very nice to see and walk through.

The area is beautiful! There is so much to do and so much to eat. They have a little of everything around the area and recommend going to take a few photos during certain times of the day. It was somewhat crowded when I went but doesn't mean it doesn't have slower times and less crowds!

Они соединялись между собой через арочные проемы, закрытые дверями. До наших дней частично сохранились только пять. Когда мы гуляли в Ираклионе, то увидели сохранившиеся верфи, огорожденные сеткой и пройти внутрь нельзя, сейчас там гулять можно только кошкам, которые там отдыхают в тени венецианских верфей. Интересное место, очень бы хотелось посмотреть как выглядел весь комплекс из 19 верфей, но увы, мало что сохранилось до наших дней.
