Flores Hotel Boutique — Hotel in Flores

We stayed here for 3 nights. Please prepare cash since there is no tax. Now list these pros and cons for future travelers:||Pros:|-Very very friendly and helpful staff!!!!|-Location is A++. There is a flower plaza right at the corner and the view from suite is just gorgeous!|-Room is very spacious.|-Lots of food around. Very safe area.||Cons:|-The design of the room is a bit non user-friendly. Eg. cold during spring nights, large empty space in the suite, narrow channel to bathroom, no easy way to turn off the lights if you’re on bed.|-Breakfast is just ok, compared with other hotels we stayed.|-Not too much amenities, e.g cup, hair dryer. Please ask staff if you need them and make sure you bring your shampoo and lotions.|-The taxi service they arranged is higher than usual price. We were charged 7 dollars from airport to hotel but it only took us 2 dollars to go back to airport.|-Quite a bit of street noise at night. But I guess it’s common for hotels in...

Nice hotel and nice people. It's a little old and things like the tiles are breaking, but has a nice upper class feel. The large living room and kitchen was nice, the kitchen was pretty bare of basic things but sufficed. However, I booked a few things through them and had horrible results. Firstly, I booked a ticket for a tour with a guide and a round trip shuttle, however, 1) I did not get a guide 2) the hour promised to leave back to Flores did not exist so I had to spend more money on a private shuttle to get back, this is besides the fact that it was 150 (plus 50 for the way back, no guide). when the going rate is 100 or less. Second, I booked a bus through them to Guatemala city for 8, I got there to find it was actually at 9 and although I payed extra for the expensive seats, they reserved me the standard. Overall a horrible experience for what could have, and should have been a great one, based on...
