I can only recommend this hostel. Even before arrival they helped us book a shuttle from the airport which was a lifesaver. They offer other services of the sort for transportation and tour. Every member of the staff was kind and welcoming. The place itself is a dream, I’ve been to every continent and this is my top 3 favourite hostel ever. The price quality ratio is excellent and honestly we thought that the location was perfect.10 minutes in straight line to the parque central. They cleaned daily which was great especially for the shared bathroom. We particularly enjoyed the complementary breakfast. We felt very safe and we enjoyed the calm of the place. We were able to leave our belongings while we went on the 2 days hike without worrying. It’s not a party hostel but definitely a place from where I would love to work remotely in the future! The only downsides are that the top bunks are kinda high, if you go to the bathroom a lot a night maybe request a bottom bed and the kitchen lacks a sufficient amount of utensils so not very convenient for cooking. Overall I’m more than satisfied with my stay, thank you so much for having us, I will...
Read moreI haven’t even checked out yet and I couldn’t wait to leave this place a 5 star review. Idk how anyone has something negative to say about this place, literally the nicest, cleanest hostel I’ve ever stayed at!
I compared this one to other hostels in Antigua and none of them really seemed to have a nice, shared communal space like this one does. Plus it is SO CLEAN and so well manicured. The pool and rooftop area is amazing. Bar with a happy hour every day. Breakfast included. Super friendly staff. COMFY cozy dorm rooms with hot, functioning showers and beds that I didn’t want to leave.
And when I say clean, I mean no matter the time of day, I saw somebody here cleaning something - literally sweeping the ceilings, mopping the dorm floors, etc. Our rooms and beds were also perfectly made up for us every day like a hotel. I can’t recommend this place enough, worth every penny.
PS - for anybody complaining about “noise” here… it’s a hostel. On a cobblestone street in the middle of a lively city. The people and staff are quiet and turn off the music around 9:00 every night. Bring earplugs or book a private airbnb if you wake up at...
Read moreI stayed here for three nights, and thought the location and set up were very nice. There is a rooftop patio; unfortunately, the air has been quite smoky and cloudy lately, so there was no view of the volcanos it around Antigua. But it was nice to sit up in the breeze of the rooftop. There are places in the sun and places in the shade. I also really appreciated the swimming pool. I had hiked up Acetenango volcano, and there’s nothing like a cool pool for help with aching muscles. They also have a little bar there, and a kitchen where you can cook and keep things in the fridge, although there’s a breakfast served there which is excellent. The location worked out well; I was able to walk to most places that I wanted to go to. I booked a shuttle with Viator and was able to be picked up at the hostel. The staff are friendly and helpful. The only thing I’d say that isn’t positive is that, staying in a dorm room with 6 people, it’s a bit of a gamble as to whether people come in quietly or not. As well as the hostel area itself. There is no curfew. Two of my nights it was reasonably quiet, and the third night, a Friday night, it was...
