Elvis Guesthouse Budapest — Hotel in Budapest

Planned to stay here a few years back. We arrived at the hostel to be stopped as we entered the front door and told they were full - even though we'd booked months ahead.||||We were escorted by the owner to a very run down apartment block nearby, and told we could have their "Guest House". The apartment was full of other people's belongings and bags, very dirty, and we seemed to be the only people in the building. Weirdly, the owner also refused to properly check us in to the hostel or take our deposit. He said he'd come back.||||We went out for the evening and returned to find the locks had been smashed off the door and our apartment burgled. We gathered our remaining stuff and went back to where we had originally met the owner, but the doors were locked and there was no answer from the contact number we were given.||||We now genuinely question how safe it was to stay here, particularly as the owner made no record of our arrival and then disappeared when we were...

The reception is at Omega Guesthouse Budapest. And both of these places are disgusting.

No table, no closet to store things in, very poor lighting, dark even during the day. The bathtub leaks, making the bathroom constantly damp and causing the towels to smell the next day. There are also cockroaches of different sizes, which means that no one cares about getting rid of them. They are not only in common areas and in the kitchen, but also sometimes appear in the room and bathroom.

Everything is old and in a cobweb. After cleaning, other people's hair is smeared on the floor, various wet crumbs are lying around - from cockroaches to feathers.

Be ready to waste your nerves and time trying to get something vital from the people at the reception. They answer rudely and with contempt, always despising, give different information in different days.

LA calidad/precio es inmejorable, he leído las malas opiniones de tridadvisor y desde luego nada que ver con nuestra experiencia. Íbamos un grupo de 5 personas (1 pareja y 3 amigos), y tanto los 3 amigos que se alojaron en una habitación cuadruple y la pareja quedaron encantados. Nos alojamos en el alojamiento que tienen en Rakoczi 61, ya que tienen también otro que no conocemos.||||El personal muy atento y dispuesto a ayudar en todo momento, nada más llegar nos proporcionaron mapas y nos explicaron muchas cosas de la ciudad, además de ofrecernos comprar los tickets para los balnearios al mismo precio que en ellos, pero sin espera de colas y prestándonos toallas, las habitaciones amplias, aunque las camas no eran nada del otro mundo se descansaba que es lo importante, si pillas días nublados o lluviosos es cierto que no entra demasiada luz en la habitación, pero nosotros la queríamos para dormir, desde que nos íbamos por la mañana no volvíamos hasta la noche, así que eso no fue unproblema.||El desayuno consta de pan, nutella, mermelada, cereales, zumo, leche, salami, etc.. puedes servirte cuanto quieras, además de poder utilizar la cocina durante el resto del día si lo necesitas, no era lo más rico del mundo, pero bien de cantidad y a mi desde luego me dejaba satisfecho.||La ubicación es muy buena, nosotros no compramos billete de transporte público más que los días de ir y volver al aeropuerto, para los que compensa comprarlo ya solo con los viajes para ir y volver de él, y esos días aprovechamos para ir a las zonas más alejadas de la ciudad, subir a la ciudadela, isla margarita, balneario schezeny etc.. el resto de días todo a pie, no son más de 15 min andando desdel el alojamiento a la zona centro de la ciudad, en unos 20-25min te plantas en la misma plaza central de la ciudad.||||Mi experiencia ha sido muy buena, lo recomendaría sin duda.. tanto a nivel de pareja como para...
