Purnama di Bisma Guest House — Hotel in Pulau Bali

Part of my experience is shaped by bad luck, so I'll start with the good things about this place

the location is great, it allows you to walk without being in a constant crush of traffic there are some top restaurants within a 5 minute stroll this area is quite beautiful early in the morning and in the evenings the rooms are large

The things I didn't like so much: you can hear live music from a nearby venue basically every night. It's not terrible, but it's not ideal either. I was very unlucky to have another guest staying in the third floor who would constantly stomp instead of walking... Even worse luck for me is this person would get up at 5am and stomp around, and scrape furniture on the floor, while getting ready for an hour. my air con stopped working in the middle of the night when I happened to have a migraine. It took hours before I was told that the technician would need to have a look - but that was when I decided I had to leave and find somewhere I could get proper rest.

The rooms in the second floor are the best, the room I saw on the third floor had a mould issue from a roof leak. The bathrooms are old - so set your expectations. And... there are no mattress protectors in use... something I personally find...

I would highly recommend you to stay here. We recently stayed for 2 nights. The location is perfect, lots of shops, restaurants and activities in walking distance with it still being very quiet at night. ||The rooms are very spacious, clean and the beds are very comfortable. Value for money is good. ||The host is SO lovely, very chatty and always around to help would give him 5 stars alone. He even drove us to our next place for a small cost. ||If I was to return to Ubud I’d definitely be returning here, thank you...
