Sampara Ubud — Hotel in Pulau Bali

I had a pleasant time at Sampara Ubud.

Highlights:

1. Great balcony, very cozy pool, useful amenities provided in the room such as kettle, tea/coffee, 2 bottles of water, fridge, cupboard, hangers, and toiletries.
2. There is a table/chair in the room and breakfast table + chairs in the balcony. The bed was comfortable. The shower has hot & cold water.
3. The AC is very helpful, but if you come during peak heat season, you will find that the AC is not enough but that's everywhere in Bali. You will really enjoy sitting in the balcony and having a lush green view and view of the pool.

What can be improved:

1. WiFi was a complete mess during my 5 day stay. Though the staff tried to fix it multiple times, it kept breaking. The staff was apologetic about it and it seems like the issue was beyond their control. Due to the severe inconvenience to me, I was expecting them to offer a discount on my total room rent however they could only provide me with a free bottle of water.
2. breakfast is not included in the room price unlike all other properties in the vicinity. It would have been great to get breakfast in the amazing balcony.
3. The property is a 2-3 min walk from inside the main road, but the alleyway is well lit so it will not be a problem even at night.
4. The property should allow self-serve water refill instead of buying new bottles everytime

Nestled in the back of the Ubud city center with humming birds greeting you in the morning on your balcony it is the perfect accomodation. I did stay for 12 days and saw tourists come and go while I felt like I was home in 5A. Having my tea in the morning on the spacious balcony and enjoying the scenery. Spacious bathroom with all you need even hair dryer. Take a swimm in the pool at 4pm after walking the spectacular rice fields or shopping in Ubud. Nice table with chair and the bed and linnen were sprakly clean and comfortable.

Look no further if you want to stay in a calm relaxed beautiful accomodation only a 2 minute walk away from all the main streets with excellent value for your money. The staff are very friendly and clean the room whenever you feel like it. Perfect for a short and long...

Without hesitation, the worst place I've stayed in Bali. I didn’t get the room I had booked, and when I contacted the staff (only reachable via WhatsApp, as there’s no one at reception), they simply told me to take it up with Agoda. The place looked nothing like the photos – don’t be fooled by the bright and inviting pictures online. The room I was given was damp, dimly lit by harsh neon light, and had an overall depressing feel. It’s honestly one of the saddest places I’ve stayed in Bali.
