Monti First — Hotel in Rome

Stayed here for our 4 days in Rome with my parter and 2 Yr old.

Location is amazing but, once you get there for the first time it's not an easy find. No signs or anything, Google maps will take you right outside, it's on a right turn if your looking at the huge theatre, and it's a huge double wooden door. The entrance is kinda dark and looks like a church corridor but all the rooms and reception is on the first floor.

There's no kitchen etc for breakfast but they are affiliated with another hotel incredibly close by down one road on a rooftop, and the staff on there are absolutely incredible. Food is amazing too.

The room was very clean, dated but clean and has all you need. Other then a kettle which is odd because they had teabags and cups haha.

Shower was amazing and powerful with supplied hairdryer and shampoo, towels etc. Tv in the room obviously italian channels but there's a channel called focus TV and that was English and often had animal documentaries on.

Staff were lovely and helpful but their not there 24/7. Only in mornings but the hotel upstairs on floor 2 has staff there all day and they are happy to help you.

Location is everything and this hotel is spot on for most things you want to see in Rome. Trevi fountain was a 10minute walk, colloseum was a straight walk for 10minutes. Bus stop to the Vatican was 2minutes although I don't reccomend the bus at all as its like trying to squeeze into a tube train in Tokyo. Get an uber for that.

We recently stayed in Monti First and I can only say it was perfect for us. We were welcomed so kindly by Enzo on reception, who helped us and was so kind to us our entire 5 day stay!! |The rooms are exactly as shown in the photos, they are spacious, the room has a hair dryer and a small fridge which is great for keeping water and snacks cold. The air con was an absolute god send as it was extremely hot when we visited. We did not have breakfast included but every morning there was tea and coffee and little breakfast snacks and treats available to everyone beside the vending machines. |The location of the hotel is absolutely amazing! Out of the hotel turn right and across the road you are looking directly at the Colloseum which is only a 7 min walk away. Out of the hotel and go left up the hill, cross the road and go down the steps and you are at the trevi fountain, again less than a 10 min walk. We couldn't have picked a better hotel to stay in for convenience to see absolutely everything in Rome and for the kindness and helpfulness of all the staff we encountered! Enzo was amazing, he helped us find everything we wanted to see and he booked our private transfer back to the airport. Well needed as the taxis around Rome tend to charge and absolute fortune.|Our room was located at the front of the hotel and the noise really isn't as bad as other people have made out reviews it's a bit of traffic every now and then but nothing you won't sleep through.|Would 100% visit again and would recommend...

Antes de você leitor começar a ler a avaliação, é necessário ter em mente, que apesar do Consulta se auto denominar Hotel, na realidade é considerado um Albergue de luxo, ou como algumas amigas disseram, um quarto alugado por sites como a Airbnb.||Por isso, para quem está acostumado com serviços típicos de Hotel, certamente irá se desapontar.||||Porém, tendo em mente que o Consulta na realidade é um albergue, e avaliando como tal, posso afirmar categoricamente que é excelente devido aos seguintes fatores:||||1. Ótima localização. É possível fazer todos os pontos turísticos a pé, sem a menor necessidade de utilização de transporte público.||2. Serviço de limpeza muito bom e eficiente. A funcionária é super simpática e te trata como se você fosse um amigo ou parente dela.||3. Quartos amplos, com armário, tv de plasma e ótimo banheiro.||||Pontos negativos:||||1. Não há café da manhã.||2. Wi-fi extremamente lento. Minha irmã se irritou algumas vezes!||3. Não há sinalização na porta do local. Na realidade o Consulta situa-se no 1º andar de um prédio, e por isso, não há nenhum tipo informação na porta de entrada localizada no térreo.||4. Elevador mais velho que a Dercy Gonçalves (rsss..) Preferimos não arriscar e utilizar as escadas constantemente.||5. Quartos voltados a Via Nazionale fazem muitooooooooo barulho. Opte por quartos voltados a rua lateral.||6. Local para jovens. Caso esteja planejando uma viagem em família ou se você se costuma hospedar em hotéis 3 ou mais estrelas, pare de ler aqui e comece a procurar algo na Via Veneto.||||Por fim, devo relatar o seguinte acontecimento. Chegamos no "Hotel" por volta das 8h, porém não havia ninguém para nos receber. Antes disso, já havia sido difícil encontrar o local pelos motivos citados no item 3. Exaustos após uma viagem de 11h, aliado ao longínquo percurso de trem Aeroporto - Roma, ao encontrarmos o local tivemos que aguardar durante 1h em um SALÃO DE CABELEREIRO vizinho de porta do Consulta. Situação chata e desconfortável. As 2 funcionárias do hostel trabalham entre as 9h às 19h, e segundo elas, em casos como esses, é necessário avisar antecipadamente para que elas possam receber os hóspedes a qualquer horário. Aliás, é bom que se diga, que ao hóspede é entregue a chave do local e do quarto, e não um cartão de acesso comum em hotéis. ||Além disso, é necessário relatar que uma amiga vindo do Kuwait, ao entrar no "hotel", deu meia volta e foi correndo atrás de um verdadeiro hotel em Roma. Segundo ela, por não haver recepção e movimentação de pessoas, o local lhe passou insegurança e medo.||||Porém, por mais contraditório que possa parecer, mesmo acostumado a Hotéis 4 e 5 estrelas, o Hotel Consulta possui funcionários muito simpáticos e acolhedores, que dão a impressão de você estar hospedado na casa de alguém. Como disse, os quartos e principalmente os banheiros são ótimos e um excelente custo benefício. Se você planeja visitar outros lugares na Europa, vale a pena economizar em Roma e aumentar seu budget em hotéis de outras cidades, pois Roma em si, é uma cidade que você passará o dia inteiro na rua e retornará apenas para dormir. Dica: 3 dias em Roma são mais do que suficientes para amar ou odiar a cidade. No meu caso,...
