Ok. It’s nearly been a year since my family and I spent New Year’s Eve at this restaurant and I’ve now got over it enough to be able to post a review. There was a €200 per person minimum. The prices of the dishes were frankly outrageous (I’ll give you some pics of the menu so you can judge for yourself, I’ve also included the itemised receipt ). The wine was excellent, the food was average if I disregard the cost. If I factor the cost in then the food was poor. The ambience was… comical. There was a 90s portable stereo on a chair playing Gloria Gaynor on repeat. Whoever this restaurant is for, it doesn’t appear to be tourists/foreigners. And to be fair - why should it be? I don’t know how the restaurant could have communicated this to me, I understand it’s not really something easy to convey. However - I could have spent the money else where, let the restaurant cater to the clientele it wanted to cater to and all of us would most probably have been happier. By all means book this restaurant guys, but be aware of what...
Read moreMy husband was given the recommendation to come to this restaurant from the Hotel we stayed at when asking where to eat fish. We had oysters, a raw mixed sea food platter and a lovely seabass baked in salt with baked potatoes and mushrooms, no wine. at all just plane still water. The whole experience was lovely at the restaurant as the atmosphere was good, the service as well and the food presentation and taste where superb. But when we went back to the Hotel to sleep, it was a "white night" with terrible stomach pains, vomiting and gastritis. My husband wrote on the Fork through which he had booked our bad experience and they called him claiming it might have been the cool breeze on the way back to the hotel (?). The bill was about 290 Euros without wine or dessert. Therefore, steep regardless of dinner choices. But to spend that much and end up as we did was a dreadful experience. We had actually booked to dine there again the next evening as we had immensely enjoyed it, but of course cancelled. Not at all...
Read moreUnfortunately, we did not have a good experience here. First of all, the place is very dated. Wallpaper, furniture, bathroom have seen better times. Interior design is hello from the nineties. Even the dishes are served in a style from the nineties, on the oversized plates with a huge parsley leaf on the side. Waiters are wearing dirty white formal jackets. The place is located in the basement of the building, so the light is artificial and because of the open door, it is cold inside, not very inviting. Food was OK, but mediocre. It is a shame that the place is listed in the Michelin guide. We were very disappointed with our meal. The prices are: 45 Euro for a pasta or risotto, 45 Euro for a starter, 10 Euro per person for some dried bread with olive oil, 8 Euro for a bottle of water, 5 Euro for an espresso. On top of all things, we booked over Michelin/TheFork website and apparently the restaurant reported, that we did...
