A Truly Memorable Dining Experience at Osteria Navona
From the moment we arrived at Osteria Navona, we felt truly welcomed. The host, a true gentleman and a remarkable polyglot, greeted us with warmth and professionalism. He effortlessly explained the menu in multiple languages, making sure every guest understood the dishes and felt at home – a rare and very appreciated touch.
The food was outstanding. Everything we ordered was fresh, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. The seafood, in particular, was exceptional – from the delicate shellfish to the perfectly cooked fish, each bite reflected the quality of ingredients and the care in preparation. It’s clear that the kitchen focuses on refined flavors without losing the authenticity of traditional Italian cuisine.
Service was impeccable – fast, attentive, and genuinely friendly. The staff worked with grace and efficiency, striking the perfect balance between professionali and a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere.
In short, Osteria Navona offers a top-tier dining experience in the heart of Rome. We left not only satisfied but genuinely impressed. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for fresh, refined food and excellent service in a...
Read moreVery poor service. Three sides and a main were forgotten, and at no point were we asked if we wanted more drinks. Despite this, the service charge was still added to the bill. When we raised concerns and asked for it to be removed due to the poor service, the owner became aggressive, ranting in Italian and making a derogatory comment about ‘* English’. She refused to remove the charge, stating it’s not optional in Italy. The food was good, but the attitude and handling of the situation by the owner were absolutely disgraceful. Forcing customers to pay a service charge after such poor treatment is unacceptable. Also making derogatory comments about paying customers shows the mentality of this owner.
Edit: the dish wasn’t delayed. It was forgotten and the member of our party had to eat once everyone else was finished. They also forgot 3 sides completely. They reduced the service charge by 5%. Not the total bill. Perhaps learn how to provide some customer service in future to prevent...
Read moreWhen you are still thinking about a restaurant many months on, they really made an impression! My mother, and my son really enjoyed dining at this restaurant so much that we also came back for the next two nights during our stay in Rome. We felt welcomed and the staff felt like family and we really enjoyed the service, and the cheeky limoncellos! On our third night, our waiter suggested his personal recommendations, off the menu, based on our tastes which really hit the spot. For the nights we were there, I had the lasagna; cacio e pepe; and white ragu fettuccine, ultimate comfort food. We are a diplomat family, so have dined in many, many restaurants and cafes around the world but this has been by far the best we have memories of.
We look forward to visiting once again, hopefully soon. Sometimes it isn't just the food, but the service and feeling like part of the family friends is what made our...
