Oh boy, where do I even start? I've never been to a hotel that managed to make me feel so down in the dumps about myself. The whole experience was a real downer.
So, we hauled ourselves from the train station to this joint. I'll throw it a couple of stars ⭐⭐ for its location, and by that, I mean its proximity to attractions. But let's be honest, the street this place is on is basically a grimy back alley, surrounded by trash.
Back to our misadventure, the owners put on this nice act and even let us check in early without any extra charge. We make our way to the building entrance, following all the info they provided. The lift takes us up to the hotel. At first glance, everything seems promising and we're getting psyched about the room we shelled out over €100 per night for. But then we open the room door, and let me tell you, our mouths hung open in a mix of disbelief and disgust. The place reeked, it was like a sardine can, and the floors looked like they hadn't seen a mop in ages. The bedspread was a mess of holes, and the bedsheet was more worn out than my old sneakers. Swear to you, I was half afraid I'd catch something just from being near that bedding. We dared to open the fridge to stash our food, and bam, a wave of awful smell hit us. Oh, and the kettle? That thing still had water in it, along with some lovely white crusty deposits (who knows when that thing last saw a scrub). Then there's the bathroom, a real gem in its own right. Sure, the toilet looked clean enough, but I was so grossed out that I didn't even want to touch the flusher. It was all old and dingy; hard water stains marked the shower panel, and the wall tiles were just grimy.
A day goes by, and guess what? No cleaning, no trash pickup. So we go and ask the owners if they're planning to send someone over, and what do they say? Oh, they'd be happy to do it – for a mere €20 extra. Can you believe the nerve? It's like they're trying to empty our wallets.
Honestly, this whole experience left us beyond disappointed and utterly disgusted. It's a miracle we managed to stomach even a single night there....
Read moreWe spent 4 nights in a one bedroom apt in march. This apt was perfectly located within ten minutes walk to termini station, and 10-15 mins to most attractions. The apt was on the top floor but unfortunately we could not see over the stone balcony to the main street below! There was no chairs for balcony anywayThe bedroom was large and spacious, a double bed and plenty of storage with extra bedding supplied. The living/dining room had a large sofa that pulled into a double bed and they also supplied us with a single fold up bed. The kitchen was fully fitted with full size cooker, fridge and washing machine! It was very handy having the kitchen to cook food and make tea/coffee. There was a well equipped supermarket around the corner, which sold almost anything, and had delicious bread! Our only real gripe is the bathroom! It was located off the bedroom, so one had to enter the bedroom to use the loo! Not very practical at night, when someone is sleeping, and no privacy! The staff were very helpful when we arrived, we had organised transport, and they were there on time. They did not come to clean but I would imagine if you were staying longer they would? I would stay here again mainly because of the location, and convenience of self catering, but...
Read moreI would like to make a formal complaint about this property. Not only was the accommodation we were given NOT included in the Booking.com photos (it was a completely different standard of property and not what we would have booked - very outdated and shabby, not modern as shown in the listing photos) but guests in a neighbouring flat had to access it via our flat, meaning they could have easily come in and stolen our belongings. This is a massive safety concern. When we checked in we were told that a locked door was a “storage cupboard” when in fact it was the entrance door to another flat. The first we knew of this was when at 7am in the morning, we heard the entrance door of our flat open and a stranger was stood there. The owner was unprepared to listen to our complaint, stating there was no safety issue and it was “a matter of opinion” - this owner should be removed from Booking.com for letting out properties that aren’t advertised and also for huge safety concerns - thankfully we were a mixed group of males and females but if we had been a group of females this would have been even worse. Totally unacceptable - do...
