Room230 Roma Luxury suites — Hotel in Rome

This was my second stay at Room 230, and it just keeps getting better! First of all, in my humble opinion, this guest house is located in the BEST neighborhood in Rome, called "Monti." As a return visitor to the Eternal City (8 times)I love to just wander, and I have walked to every attraction in Rome from here, aided by the metro which is a 10 minute or less stroll down Via Nazionale. I also travel with carry on only, and walk easily from theTermini train station to the B&B. Via Nazionale has excellent shopping for every budget, and there are countless amazing restaurants in Monti also. As for the accommodations, for me they are perfect. The 4 suite B&B is located on the 2nd floor (with elevator) of a glorious old building, like stepping back in time, yet into a stylish modern suite! When I say the bed is THE MOST COMFORTABLE I have ever slept in, I am not exaggerating! I have already inquired of the owner what the brand is so I can get one for my home, if I can afford it. I got the best 2 nights sleep of my two week trip to Europe in this bed. The a/c also was wonderful, as it was almost 100 degrees F when I visited this past July. I have stayed in hotels all over Europe where they have the room a/cs set and you cannot adjust them, but that was not the case here. After almost succumbing to heat stroke, I came home, cranked it up, took a shower and felt like a new person. Speaking of the shower, it has a rainfall head and also a handheld nozzle, and was just magical. The breakfast is delicious, and is served in your room daily at the time you choose. One of the best parts of this place is the owner, Paolo. He is Roman and takes great pride in both his city and his guest house. There is NOTHING that is too much trouble before, during and after your stay. He has gone above and beyond for myself and my friends on more than one occassion, and treats his guests with courtesy and respect. You can tell he genuinely cares about people. I don't think you can find anything comparable in the city for the reasonable rates at this B&B. I hope you enjoy your stay as much as I did, and fall in love with the city of Rome! Don't forget to throw a coin in the fountain if you want to guarantee a return. It has worked for me 8 times already, and I am confident...

Host was very friendly on our arrival. |Rooms are very clean, bed was standard, good shower(apart from water runs out under the door onto the floor). Not pushed on the actual floor covering, it’s quite uncomfortable on the feet! Coffee maker in room. Would have liked water to be replaced every day in fridge, was only one small bottle of water on arrival. The map our host gave us and the attractions he advised to visit were excellent. Be aware there seems to be a €7 per night city tax so we had €28 extra to pay on arrival for our four night stay. The breakfast is provided by a neighboring cafe which is excellent.|The location is perfect for attractions like the Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, the Colosseum , Palatine Hill and many more within 10-15 minutes walking. Also only an 8minute wall to the bus and train terminal. Approx 4minute walk to the metro. Overall very impressed and good...
