It's a breakfast place inside of Hotel Musee. It's not a huge spread but the quality is good.its equivalent to other hotel breakfast in terms of price point so if you care about food quality you would want to try this. They get their ingredients from around Japan. I tried to book the 90 min buffet but they only had 50 minutes for some reason. I was alone so even without talking to anyone I barely had enough time to eat. Yes I did get to try everything but it was so rushed and unpleasant. They actually come and remind you 5 minutes before your time is up. drinks are not that exciting, hot and cold coffee with some teas plus artificial apple juice and mixed fruit juice. Personally I think the shabu shabu, the ankimo and the croquettes are the best. Since it is so rushed I would suggest anyone who is looking for a leisurely breakfast to avoid this place unless you are staying at hotel Musee. Doesn't look like kids would enjoy the food here if you're looking for American style sweet breakfast like pancakes and waffles. It's mostly little Japanese dishes geared towards adults. I would call this place....very Japanese. Would I come back? For sure if they had 90 minutes, but no way if it's...
Read moreWent into without a reservation with no issues. The server was very patient in explaining the rules to me in English. For Monday to Thursday, there is a 50 minute option for ¥2200 and a 90 minute one for ¥2500. If you choose 50 minutes, then don't take too many pictures and don't chat and eat briskly. So the rules are simple. Wear your mask and the gloves provided when getting food. You are given a paper chit with your table number for shabu shabu. Place that chit in a container at the counter. They have a map at your table to show you where. They will bring a bowl of shabu shabu to your table as well as your chit. Use as many times as you want it. You also start with a 9 square tray. They fit all of the dishes perfectly. When you go for the next time, they have rectangular trays for you to use. They have cold dishes, hot dishes, sweets bar, two types of soups and rice. Multiple juices, teas and coffee to choose from. I highly suggest putting your chit in as soon as possible to get as many bowls as you can. Also, I really enjoyed the curry croquette with curry sauce. Crispy on the outside and rich filling...
Read moreThis was a last minute recommendation as in my hotel they only had very lousy food with no vegetarian options. The food was nice, they had soy meatballs, local rice and a couple of dishes you could dig, as most of them contained dairy products which I am allergic to. Staff is very kind, in a very Japanese environment. The reason I do not give them 5 stars, is that the second day I was overcharged. You have 2 options, to pay for 50 minutes or 90 minutes. The second time the guy saw the opportunity to charge me for 90, when I had been only there for 20. I realized about it later. I complained at the cashier on my 3rd day, showing my credit card statement that one day it was 15 euros, and the other 18 euros. The reaction was an Oh Sorry but then showed me the credit card POS to proceed with my payment of that day, without offering me any refund. Many people like me come from outside the hotel and probably most won't notice if they are overcharged. This is a very Non-Japanese practice. So be aware of this when you pay on...
