Elderly woman who is at reception /cashier is extremely unfriendly and rude. Her facial expression was showing that we are not welcomed as soon as I entered the restaurant. I believe I dressed up properly and had adequate manner but she just didn’t care. First, I thought she was not having a good day, but I saw comments on other reviews talking about similar situations so I’m sure it is her real personality. This restaurant should let her go so that they can save their image and business. If she’s not happy working there she should look for other job which she does not have to deal with customers.I know Location is good and food is good then I am sure a lot of customers will be fed up with her horrible altitude. Are they younger waiters and waitresses seem like they were feeling some kind of pressure. I believe she is making toxic environment. Food? Was good. There are some other branches. I would recommend everyone to avoid this branch if you want to have a good dining experience. Honestly, spending 5,000 JPY and being treated like that would make...

I visited “Sumiyaki Unafuji,” located inside Yaesu Midtown, for lunch and tried their luxurious “Unagi-zukushi Hitsumabushi Gozen.” From the moment you step through the noren, the aroma of charcoal-grilled eel welcomes you warmly.
The set menu offers an exquisite variety of eel dishes. The hitsumabushi was grilled to perfection—crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. It was delightful to enjoy it in three different styles: as-is, with condiments, and with broth. The meal also included shirayaki (grilled without sauce), umaki (eel omelet), uzaku (vinegared eel), and even sashimi-style eel—truly a complete eel experience.
Another highlight was the non-eel sashimi included in the set. Each slice was thick-cut, fatty, and melted in the mouth—on par with top-tier sushi restaurants. The craftsmanship and attention to detail were truly impressive.
Lunch reservations are available, and the location is directly connected to Tokyo Station—perfectly convenient and weatherproof, even on rainy days. The restaurant is also very popular among international tourists, offering an authentic Japanese unagi dining experience in a welcoming setting.
Presentation was elegant, and the attention to detail in the dishware and plating made it feel special. While slightly on the pricier side for lunch, the overall value and satisfaction made it well worth it. The atmosphere inside is calm and refined, making it ideal for business lunches or special occasions.
I’d love to come back again. Thank you for the...
