KOKO HOTEL Residence Asakusa Kappabashi — Hotel in Tokyo

A great hotel for a family to stay in the Asakusa area.

We had a fantastic stay at KOKO HOTEL Residence Asakusa Kappabashi. The room felt more like a small apartment than a standard hotel, perfect for our family of three. It included a washer/dryer, induction plates, microwave, toaster oven, and kitchenware, plus separate toilet and bath/laundry room. Much more spacious and comfortable than other hotels in the same price range.

The location was excellent, close to all the attractions, shopping, and restaurants in Asakusa. Sensoji Temple is just a few minutes away, and we walked to Tokyo Skytree in just 25 minutes. The area felt very safe and was extremely walkable, with Kappabashi Kitchen Town right around the corner. Ueno is also a 15 minute walk away, or a short cab ride.

While the hotel doesn't serve breakfast, there’s a vending machine, free coffee and tea in the lobby, and plenty of nearby konbinis and supermarkets. Plus, there are lots of great breakfast spots within walking distance if you prefer to eat out. The staff were friendly and very service-minded.

This hotel is excellent for traveling with family.

The hotel is within walking distance from Ueno Station. However, if you have a suitcase, it's more convenient to use a taxi or subway (the Ginza Line)

The nearest station is Dawaramachi Station on the Ginza Line, and it takes about 5-10 minutes to walk there. Along the way, there are stores selling kitchen supplies.

Initially, we stayed in the Superior Family Japanese Room, but due to a washing machine malfunction, we were upgraded to the Premier Japanese Room. Greatly appreciated!

Although the sizes of the Superior Family Japanese Room and Premier Japanese Room are different, both rooms have almost identical facilities.

Each room is equipped with a washer with a drying function. Laundry detergent is provided for one use, and if it's not enough, you can purchase more at a nearby mart.

The kitchen is well-equipped with an electric stove, refrigerator, toaster, microwave, dishes and pots, rice cooker, electric kettle, and more. If desired, you can fully cook meals.

The hotel staff is also very friendly.

The space is efficiently organized, making it an ideal hotel for families in any room.

Sensoji Temple is conveniently located nearby, making it a pleasant walk, and there are many charming shops along the way. The museums near Ueno Station are approximately 2-3 km away when walking. Our family even walked to Tokyo Skytree. We walked to Tokyo Skytree at night, and although it was a bit dark, it was not at all scary, and the Sumida River Walk along the route was beautiful.

If you head towards Sensoji Temple, there are numerous restaurants that are great for foreigners to enjoy meals. Popular options include sushi places like Sushiro and Sushi Zanmai, ramen shops, tonkatsu restaurants, and more.

There are many convenience stores nearby, and if you follow the street where the hotel is located towards Sensoji, there is a large mart called 'Life,' you can get everything there.

We were completely satisfied during our stay, and highly recommend this hotel to those planning a family trip 가족과 함께 여행하기에 아주 좋은 호텔입니다.

나리타 역에서 우에노 역으로 오면 걸어갈 수 있는 정도의 거리에 위치해 있습니다. 다만, 처음에 캐리어를 가지고 오신다면 일단은 택시던 지하철 긴자선이던 교통수단을 이용하심이 편합니다.

긴자선 다와라마치 역이 가장 가까운 역인데, 5~10분 정도 걸어가야 합니다. 가는 길은 부엌용품을 파는 가게들이 이어져 있습니다.

처음에는 Superior Family Japanese Room 에 머물렀는데 세탁기 고장으로 Premier Japanese Room 으로 업그레이드를 해주셨습니다. 감사합니다!

방의 크기는 다르지만 두 방 모두 시설은 거의 동일합니다. 방에는 처음 들어가면

각 방마다 건조기능이 있는 세탁기가 설치되어 있습니다. 세탁세제는 1회분은 제공해주시고, 마트에서 구입하시면 되요!

주방에는 전기레인지, 냉장고, 토스터기, 전자레인지, 식기와 냄비, 밥솥, 전기주전자 등이 있으며, 원한다면 완전히 조리를 할 수도 있습니다.

호텔 스태프 분들도 매우 친절하십니다.

공간을 매우 알차게 꾸며놓아서, 어느 방이던 가족이 머무르기에 최상의 호텔로 생각합니다.

센소지가 아주 가깝고, 우리 가족처럼 걷는 것을 즐기신다면 우에노 역 근처에 있는 다수의 박물관도 걸어갈만 합니다. 우리 가족은 도쿄 스카이트리도 걸어갔습니다. 도쿄 스카이트리에는 밤에 걸아갔는데 조금 어둡기는 했는데, 전혀 무섭거나 하지는 않았고 가는 길의 sumida river walk도 예쁩니다.

왼쪽 편 센소지 방향으로 가면 외국인이 식사하기에 좋은 식당이 무수히 많이 있습니다. 스시로나 스시잔마이 등의 대중적 초밥집, 라면집, 돈까스집 등등......

인근에 편의점이 많이 있고, 호텔이 위치한 길을 따라서 센소지 쪽으로 가시면 Life라는 큰 마트가 있어서 이용하기에 매우 좋습니다.

Stayed in a Superior Room with Tatami Area for five nights in Jan 2023 at the top floor @ Level 12. Room was very large for Tokyo standards. The kitchen and bath area were extremely clean. Kitchen was well stocked with a decent size fridge and freezer, oven, microwave, kettle, pans, plates, bowls, cups, and two induction hobs. There was a hidden disposal area for trash at the kitchen area. A clean and new combined washing and drying machine was inside the bath area. Appreciated small touches like the complimentary laundry powder, dishwashing detergent and sponge provided for guests. Cleaning of the room is done every three days, but sufficient clean bath towels and pyjamas were provided for that duration. Many amenities were offered to guests at the reception @ Level 1 as part of stay (toothbrush, comb, shaver, etc).

Service staff (Daya) was excellent and went above and beyond to help us before and during our trip. We were more than pleased and would be happy to stay in this property...
