If you’re looking for a fun and unique experience in Tokyo, I highly recommend the soba-making class at Sobagiri! I had an amazing time learning how to make soba from scratch, and the staff were incredibly helpful, guiding us through every step with patience and enthusiasm.

From mixing the buckwheat flour to kneading, rolling, and cutting the noodles, the process was both engaging and rewarding. Even as beginners, we felt confident thanks to the clear instructions. The best part? Enjoying our freshly made soba—it was absolutely delicious!

Doing this with friends made it even more fun, as we laughed through our mistakes and celebrated our successes. The cozy, authentic setting adds to the charm, making this a must-try activity in Tokyo. Whether you love Japanese food or just want a hands-on experience, Sobagiri is the perfect place. I left with a full stomach and...

An Unforgettable Soba-Making Experience! MY experience at Rakujyo Soba Making was absolutely phenomenal! From the moment I arrived, the instructor was warm, welcoming, and incredibly knowledgeable. They guided me through every step of the soba-making process, from kneading the dough to cutting the noodles with precision. It was both fun and surprisingly therapeutic! The hands-on approach made it easy for beginners like me to follow along, and the small class size ensured we got plenty of personalized attention. Best of all, we got to enjoy the fruits of our labor – freshly made soba that was absolutely delicious! You can really taste the difference when it's made from scratch. If you're looking for a unique cultural activity that's both engaging and delicious, I highly recommend Rakujyo Soba Making. A perfect blend of learning, fun, and great food. Can't wait to...

I am gluten free (celiac). We booked a soba making class. We are so impressed with the experience. It was easy to communicate my allergy. They have gluten free soy sauce and the soba noodles are 100% gluten free. The class was so much fun, we got lots of great videos and had a great time. They give you many options for a meal to make your noodles with. It was incredibly tasty. I would recommend this experience! My favourite so far in Japan.

We went to the first class of the morning at 9:20. Everything was incredibly clean. I did notice that when we put our tools away they were still dusted with flour, I don’t know if they clean between classes, so if you’re celiac the first class of the day might be your safest bet. I didn’t get glutened so it was...

What a wonderful experience! We went with a group of 4 and had the whole place to ourselves. We learned how make the soba dough from scratch and then we got to cut the flattened dough ourselves with a special knife. Definitely check this place out when you’re in Tokyo!
