Cafe Otonova — Restaurant in Tokyo

My friends and me found this coffee shop while we are walking around the street. It looked beautiful with lots of tree and good background music. But it was big disappointment and really bad experience ever. Today is sunday and we know it will be busy so we ask them if it is ok for 4 people or not first. They said it is possible for counter bar seats and asking for pre paid order. We almost did the order and there were another 2 Japanese customers sitting on the left counter. We were a lil bit shocked and ask the man staff why. He directed 2-2 fingers on the 2-side counters meaning your seats are here. We wanted to sit down together not seperate like that and he said order first and sit down here. The point here is his attitude. He didn’t ask us we are comfortable with that option or not. Just tell us what to do. It does not even reach the basic standard. After talking a bit, we wanted to wait, and he asked us to get out and all of us have to standing wait in front of the entrance and he would call us if the seats are available. 東京の「つくばEXP浅草駅」から約300m（徒歩約10分）の浅草のかっぱ橋道具街近くの「カフェ オトノヴァ」へ日曜の12:40くらいに3人で行って来ました♪

さすが人気店で35分ほど並んでようやく店内に入れました♪

相変わらずこのお店は、築60年の古民家をリノベーションした緑あふれる素敵なお店です♪

店内入って左側にはレコードがたくさん置かれ、右側にはクラシックな少し小さなピアノが置かれていましたね♪

このお店は、メニューを見て先に注文して先払いとなります。 支払いは現金のみとなりますのでご注意ください。

ランチメニューは以下の3種類となり、3人でそれぞれ一つずつ頼みました。

・生ハムとクスクスと前の具だくさんサラダランチ（パン付き）1,600円税込 ・鶏肉とじゃがいものトマトスープカレー（ライス、惣菜入りサラダ）1,600円税込 ・ベーコンとポルチーニのクリームパスタ（パン・惣菜入りサラダ）1,700円税込 ※ドリンクとミニデザート付き

私はスープカレーにし、ドリンクは赤ワインを選びましたね。

1階カウンター席右側に案内され、奥に荷物を置いて座りました♪

店内BGMはジャズが流れていましたね♪

すぐに赤ワインとサーモンが置かれたレタスサラダが運ばれ美味しく頂きます♪ ワインはグラスも良く、しっかりとしたフランス赤ワインで美味しかったです♪ サーモンもしっとりとし、レタスは新鮮でしたね。

そして10分ほどでスープカレーが運ばれました♪

このスープカレーには、大きめな鶏肉やじゃがいも、揚げたレンコン、ブロッコリー、茹で卵、ミニトマトが入り、コクがあり、この中にライスを浸して美味しく頂きました♪ 適度な辛さで上質で美味しかったですね♪

なおクリームパスタはねっとりと、そしてサラダランチは生ハムも入り美味しそうでした。

そして、イチゴムースのデザートもありましたね♪ イチゴや白い生クリームがムースの上に置かれ、柔らかくいちごの香りもあり良かったです♪

場所はつくばEXP浅草駅から約300m（徒歩約10分）の台東区西浅草3丁目で、近くに「かっぱ橋道具街」があります♪

このお店は、築60年の古民家をリノベーションして、2013年に開店したようで、店の入口から緑あふれていてかなり素敵です♪

店内入って左側にはレコードがたくさん置かれ、右側にはクラシックな少し小さなピアノが置かれていましたね♪

店名からも音楽好きそうです。 店内BGMはボサノヴァ等が流れていました。

お店は2階もあり27席あるようです。 2階とは吹き抜けとなっていて、かなり素敵な内装で、観葉植物もあります。

先に注文して支払うタイプのお店で、1階中央でメニューを見てアイスコーヒー550円税込を頼みました♪ paypayなど電子マネーは利用できず現金支払いなのでご注意ください。

せっかくなので2階に席を用意して頂き、階段で2階に上がります。

2階も素敵な空間が広がっていましたね♪ 観葉植物やスピーカーが置かれています。

2階にもおしぼりやお冷がありセルフサービスとなります。

そしてしばらく談笑していると、少し大きなグラスに大きな氷が入ったアイスコーヒーが運ばれ、コクがありさすが美味しかったですね♪

今回は時間がなくあまり滞在できませんでしたが、今度はゆっくりイタリアンやフレンチなどの食事、スイーツなども美味しそうなのでぜひ楽しんでみたいと思います♪

以下に日本語- Cafe had an elegant vibe from the pictures and decided to make a reservation for it on Wednesday for Saturday lunch time. After making 5 calls to the cafe, someone picked up the phone. This cafe doesn't accept online reservations or inquiries by any other means except phone. Why do you have a phone if you can't answer the phone? I was able to make a reservation and the person offered counter seating immediately even making reservation three days in advance. Because I'm a foreigner?

On the day of our visit I ordered chicken curry. What arrived was rice that seemed like it had sat outside on the plate and then brought over to our table. The rice wasn't even luke warm, just room temperature.

The curry however was great and had to be poured over the rice to make the rice taste warm. The tea came also hot and tasted great. The room temperature rice and the simple portion of the rice didn't seem 1500 yen to me. Some of the staff seems to carry high pride in themselves, not sure why they feel so proud for lousy service...

On tabelog it says cash only but they accept Suica and some credit cards for payment as...
