An excellent experience with Prathibha and Tomoko. Extremely knowledgable and well versed in tea history and culture from around the world. Had a wonderful few hours discussing the different types of tea and tea pots and experiencing artisanal craftsmanship. Store design was nicely done and there were plenty of tea selections hailing from all over the world to experience. Prathibha was extremely knowledgeable with aromatics of the tea and expressing their feel and sense and understanding the differences. If visiting Kapppabashi and you would like to look into higher end teas and vessels, this will be higher end and competitive with this market. Quality, but as should be expected, this investment for a step up will not come cheap. Budget for any expenses as it isn’t about price here, but quality and higher end experiences. This value will cost. Overall, an enjoyable experience. I look forward to returning for more.

Beautiful tea spot! Gorgeous cast iron pots and a wide selection of tea. The staff are so welcoming and very knowledgeable. I picked up some matcha - it smelled devine. I’ll be back for more! Also, the store provides tax free discount. Highly recommend for tea lovers!

Brought home the most lovely keepsake from our trip to Japan. The history behind the company and the quality craftsmanship elevate an ordinary evening cup of tea into a special experience.

The pots are nice, but the tea is far from great. This shop is pretty much a tourist trap. Got a hojicha (didn't have the option to try before buying, unlike in some other shops, though we asked) and the sample smelled much better than the actual product (which is sealed at the time of purchase). If you care about nice tea and good service, go to the Solamachi mall in Sumida instead, or...

Had a very nice experience there.

Staff is friendly and very knowledgeable, and offers you a drink for taste.

They sell various quality japanese teas (matcha, sencha ...) but also various variety from China, Taiwan. By the way the jasmine pearl is a must to take with you.

Recommend if you are looking some good tea to bring back from japan.

Also tax free shop...
