This is hands-down the best knife shop on Kappabashi Street! After exploring several stores along the block, this one stood out for its welcoming vibe and exceptional customer service. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted warmly and paired with a personal shopper who made the experience seamless and enjoyable. The staff took their time to let me try out all the knives I was interested in and provided a thorough education on each knife's design, purpose, and the type of metal it was made from. Their patience and expertise made me feel confident about my purchase. Compared to other shops that were either too crowded or where I felt ignored, this store truly excels in offering a personalized and stress-free experience. If you're in the market for a high-quality Japanese knife and value excellent service, this is the place to go!

The owner was very friendly and chatty, they speak good English, probably the best designed store as they kept all stainless steel on the left and carbon steel on the right. Some scissors, nail clippers and other items too. Engraving for extra 550yen ish. Worth visiting as the prices are comparable and they have really good knowledge and this shop is kinda a hidden gem, a little bit away from others but their products choices are great.

We purchased a santoku knife with the help of who I believe is the owner. He was very helpful in choosing what knife is best for our needs and price range. He even demonstrated how to properly care for and sharpen the knife to prolong its longevity. He made us comfortable and confident in our purchase. We highly recommend his shop for your knife purchases when you visit.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I had a fantastic experience at this family-run knife shop located in Tokyo’s famous Kitchen Knife District, Kappabashi. The store offers an impressive selection of knives in a wide range of styles and prices, making it easy to find something for every need and budget.

The staff were exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable, providing helpful advice and answering all my questions. Many of them speak English, which made the shopping experience even more comfortable. One unique feature I loved was the opportunity to test the sharpness of the knives by cutting sample vegetables—a great way to truly appreciate the craftsmanship.

For an additional fee, they also offer custom engraving on the knives. I was informed in advance that this process could take up to two hours, which was completely reasonable given the attention to detail.

Overall, the quality of the products and the excellent service made this visit well worth it. I highly recommend this shop to anyone looking for authentic, high-quality Japanese knives and a memorable...

Recently purchased two knives from here after walking up and down all of “Kitchen Street” I really preferred this store over some of the bigger stores. If you have a specific style/handle in mind you might have to go to each store to find what you want and buy from there. I was not very picky but just had a few requirements for metal type. Sean and his associates here at the store the day I went were amazing and very knowledgeable. They helped us understand the differences in knives and did not pressure us at all. It was very fun experience, I think we spent almost 1 hour trying different knives to see what we really wanted! Even convinced my other friends to purchase from this...
