Pros
Room: Quite spacious and equipped with necessary furniture (TV, Ironing board, air-con etc). Clean and tidy. Bedding and pillow are soft and comfy.
Design: When I stayed there, what grabbed my attention the most is the whole design of the hotel. I could tell who ever renovated the place poured in a lot of effort. The whole building itself feels very vintage style. I absolutely recommend it to those who enjoy this aesthetic. The whole building is also so pretty with all the lights on during the night.
Location: Location is in Chulia Street, which is a popular tourist spot, there are many bars around, so it is very convenient if you want to grab something to eat. It gets so lively at night, which is perfect for tourists. Also you can see Komtar from here. I believe there are also hawker centers nearby, if you want to try some local Penang food.
Staff: The receptionist is very friendly and approachable, willing to answer questions patiently and able to provide advices on which places to visit in Penang.
Facilities: There is a pool at the back of the hotel, which is quite surprising considering how affordable the price is.

Read moreFirst experience with capsule hotel bed and dormitory with 3 other lovely female travellers. Fortunately, it was an experience exceeding all expectations!! First WOW - look at all the cultural heritage, beautiful art, antique items and furniture, the Feng Shui Koi pond, water fountain, greenery! OMG- better than visiting a museum- you get to live and experience it!!! Second WOW- looking for street food? Walk around and you see stalls selling the local delish: SATAY, Lok Lok, Char Hor Fun and other stalls. Also, the handicraft stores with Batik and wooden sculptures! Other amenities : open swimming pool, 3 shower room next to it and hair dryer (tip: the water pressure and shower much more satisfying compared to bathtub or shower inside dorm room, and a game/ relax room filled with couch to wind down after a tiring day. and just Final WOW- the receptionist and staffs are helpful and well-informed! Guests were invited to join in the fun and you can see guests lounging in the open, relaxed and chatting with the staffs! Room for improvement: mosquitoes... can't seem to get rid of them ( so be prepared) and the places are considered clean... but not spotless. I hope this culturally rich building can be well maintained, and the places be properly upgraded even more as it succeeds as one of the most valuable hotel experience in...
