The property is managed by a Singaporean owner who delegates key handling to a group of Filipino staff members. Unfortunately, both the owner and operator demonstrated a lack of professionalism in their communication, often sounding rigid and discourteous, as if they have no regard for repeat customers.Parking at the property is charged at RM8 per entry, whereas the adjacent Ceylonze Suite offers a lower rate of RM5. Upon my wife’s request for a multiple-entry parking option, the management imposed an additional RM20 fee for an access card. However, we later found that using the GoKL public transport service was a more convenient option, rendering the access card unnecessary. When I inquired about the possibility of a refund, the staff member responded in a manner that implied suspicion, questioning why I had not made the request the previous day.During check-out, the staff member handed me a phone, stating that the owner wished to speak with me. The owner then proceeded to aggressively question why I had raised concerns about the staff’s behavior and why I did not accept their parking fee policy. I clarified that I was not demanding a refund but was simply providing feedback on the unprofessional conduct of the staff. I even suggested that he review our WhatsApp conversation as evidence. However, his tone became increasingly hostile and threaten. Given his aggressive demeanor, I decided to record the conversation as evidence and police report, if he calls and disturb me in future. Apart from poor service, the room itself has multiple issues:The two-door wardrobe is faulty, with one door stuck on its track and unable to move.The unit is located near a pub street, making it unsuitable for families due to loud music and noise that continues past midnight.The balcony lacks any protective grill or safety wire, posing a serious risk of falls or even suicide. I urge Trip.com to review this safety hazard and its legal implications.The air conditioning system is faulty, with a non-functional temperature control, preventing guests from adjusting the room temperature.The television does not support local channels, and while it has a TV box, none of the channels are subscribed or paid for by the owner. Additionally, the TV is not a Smart TV, meaning guests cannot cast content from their own paid subscriptions, such as YouTube.Based on my experience, I strongly advise against staying at this property. Cons No communication from their end. Came to the location and had to figure out a way to contact them. No mention of how we should contact them (Whatsapp/Tele/WeChat?) We don't have call roaming so we had to seek help from a stranger to contact them. The room is infested with german cockroach. Came back after dinner and saw at least 3 cockroaches roaming around the room. Left the room with our luggage open and one cockroach managed to hitchhike back with us. The washing machine works but the dryer function does not work. There was a troubleshooting guide that shows guests how to use washing machine and what to do if the washing machine gets stuck with a disclaimer that says guests are liable for damages to the washing machine if they tried to force open the washing machine. Guess what? The washing machine was already damaged when we used it (handle was already shaky). When the washing machine inevitably got stuck, followed the guide and tried to open the door and it broke. Staff came to the room and insisted we broke it even though we said it was already loose in the first place. Deposit was forfeited. Felt cheated because the fact that they had a disclaimer sign shows that they are very well aware of this problem but still kept the washing machine because free money why not?
