Although this isn't tapas in the truly Spanish sense (you have to pay for your food here even if you're buying drinks), this is an amazing little spot on a street otherwise known more for late night bar activity. Cash or credit card accepted and like almost all of KL English is no problem here. Air conditioned indoor seating (bar & tables) as well as outdoor patio seating.
I thoroughly enjoyed their Jungle Bird cocktail, served with a cinnamon stick and a mixture of crushed and cubed ice, all served in a copper-ish mug reminiscent of a Moscow Mule but with a far more subtle flavor (though they proudly serve Fever Tree if you're interested in a Moscow Mule).
Although you're paying for the food many of the items are in the $5 range with some higher and one or two lower. The food is tapas - not full plates of food but tastes, like small appetizers. That being said some of them are quite filling, like the Tortilla Espanola, a very dense and filling quiche-like mixture of potato, onion and egg. It's deeply satisfying though it could benefit by a small garnish of something spicy to liven it up a bit. But combine it with, say, their Pinchas Morunos - a spicy chicken and sausage skewer and you have an amazing pairing. Just right if you're not starving and only want something satisfying to accompany your wine or cocktail.
Although many of the places along Changkat Bukit Bintang can be a bit on the trashy side this is a really nice little spot. Jalan Alor is close by if you're hungrier, but if you want a quiet place to enjoy conversation over light food and a drink this is a great option! Decor is very soothing as is the music. Bartenders are friendly and skilled and the staff in general is...
