Hallmark Express Hotel — Hotel in Malacca

We are group of cyclist. We respect there are some hotels or stays, doesn't allow our bike to keep in our own room. We can totally understand that. So that we always double confirm with the staff of the hotel first, before we place any booking.

We made contact before booking few days before, and gotten the hotel consent on bringing our bikes into our rooms and can wash and clean in our toilet.

When we arrive, we were blocked by the staffs from entering after a long extremely hot day under the sun.

So I myself went it and raise my complaint to them that we have gotten they consent before our booking, else we would just book other places. But their reponses are unprofessional to us, as follows:-

Argue with customer, where we gotten their consent beforehand. Complain on their our staff right in front of customer, where they should solve our problem first, and don't settle their internal issue in front of customers or third parties. The proposed to us to keep our bike into their store room outside, we didn't reject, but we raise our concern on securities issue and express it if anything happens to our property or assets, they will need to be liable & responsible to it. But they question us with aggressive manner on why should they be responsible for it. It was ridiculous! Argue with us that no hotels or stays. Hello? We often do road trips and we never face this issue, because we do respect the owner that they might not allow, hence we ALWAYS check with the owner! Instead of solving the problem created by them, but started giving irrational excuses, false statement and trying to educate customer where we were triggered heavily by them!

Other comments were on the smells in the room, and cleanliness of the room is bad, where we notice baby...

I stayed in a single room. I loved every bit of the hotel. From the moment that I arrived, I liked how there was this short, special tunnel that lead me from the main road to their private parking at the back of the hotel. I was greeted by friendly staff at the reception. The lobby area was aptly decorated. The room was nice - had everything I needed - cozy bed and pillow, side tables, hot water, hairdryer, a safe etc. Location wise - a plus ! Since Melaka City is rather small, if you are driving, it may be crucial to find a hotel with its own private parking. This hotel covers that. Then, you don't want a hotel that is crammed in between other buildings with lots of activities going on outside at night. It was rather quiet at night. Hardly any vehicles on the main road in front of the hotel. Despite the above, attractions are a stone's throw away from the hotel. Like Jonker's Walk, Cendol Kg Hulu, Ghost Museum, Stadthuys, The River Cruise etc. I'm not one to complain, especially since I did enjoy my stay. I don't know if bigger rooms come with hangers or not. But since my Single Room does not, I'd like to suggest you to provide a few hangers. It's understandable that there's no wardrobe due to space constraint. But if you can put a bar/rod above where the safe is, then you can place like 3 or 4 hangers on the rod (see my attached picture for clarification - the area I was referring to is circled in red). Overall, a great experience ! I may even stay there again...

We love to stay in this hotel.The hotel is located on ideal place because all museums,temples are located within 1 to 2 km.The riverside lake and mall is located nearby.The Malaysian hotel is nearby.The 99 store and big pharmacy also located nearby.We find this area cool and pleasant.Not much traffic voices.We explore whole nearby area by walk.The hotel ambience was excellent.We booked double duplex room had a comfortable stay at the hotel. The room was clean, well-maintained, and equipped with basic amenities like air conditioning, a TV, and Wi-Fi. The bed was cozy, and the bathroom was hygienic with a good supply of hot and cold water. Housekeeping was regular and responsive. While the decor was simple, it felt welcoming. Overall, it was a pleasant experience and good value for the money. Although the price was higher because we booked a few minutes before reaching at Malaca terminal by Agoda.The lift is available. They must have a room refrigerator and water glasses .Everything was perfect.The staff is good and cooperative.The water bottle and coffee was free.My husband told we ll visit this place again as he like quiet places and he really enjoy Malaca trip as shops, restaurants and mall located nearby.Tge tourist attraction within 1 km so...
