Riad medina sky — Hotel in Fez

We just got back from Morocco after spending a week in the country. We spent half our time in Marrakech and the other half in Fes. If we ever go back, Medina Sky is where I would prefer to go. Don't get me wrong, Marrakech is great, but Fes and the Medina Sky Riad really made our trip special and was what I will remember most fondly from out trip to Morocco. Medina Sky is a beautifully decorated Riad with great wifi, and our host Abdul and his wife and family were some of the kindest people we met. Abdul walked us around the Medina and old city of Fes pointing out interesting things, informing us of historical facts, making great suggestions for food, and answering any and all questions we had about Islam and Moroccan culture. Additionally, it seems Abdul knows everyone. Having grown up in Fes Abdul was able to arrange anything and everything we needed and for prices half of what the big hotels want to charge you. He arranged for a driver to take us around the whole city in a private air conditioned van, stopping at all the great spots like Borj Nord, the Blue Gate, Chouara Tannery, etc for about $15/20. He even invited my wife and I to have lunch with his family before we had to fly back to the states and the food was fantastic. This has been one of the highlights of our time in Morocco, the hospitality in this family run Riad is the best we’ve experienced. Nothing is a problem, they helped us arrange pick up from the train station, dinner recommendations, Medina tours, tours to Volubilis ruins, drop off to the bus - everything was spot on. The evening before we were checking out we had a small issue with the zipper on a leather bag we’d bought near the tannery (nothing to do with the Riad) - Imad finds someone who can fix it for us at 9pm at night, amazing. I would highly recommend this amazing stay at Riad Medina sky! The location in the Medina is perfect and close to all the main streets. The view from the rooftop was unmatched, especially for sunrise!! & the breakfast was delicious. Emad was extremely welcoming and friendly and gave us great recommendations and advice about Fes and the whole of Morocco, willing to help even after our stay :) Their mother was extremely hospitable to us, especially when a couple of us were sick she cooked us soup and rice and took us to the pharmacy & got us medications. & finally Badar was kind enough to walk us to & from where we wanted to be at night, making us extra comfortable :) thank you again for...
