Excellent value for money. Not in the best location in terms of its a bit of a maze to get to the main part of Thamel, but once you know your way, it’s ok, maybe 10 or 15 minutes to get to most places you’d want to go to. Staff were friendly enough, although they could have done more to inform us of things like, if you want your room to be cleaned you need to let them know before noon. Or that, there’s a mini bar in the little fridge in the room (we had no idea). We were literally handed a key on check in, that’s it. The room we had was spacious, bed was comfortable, bathroom was ok… I hit my head several times on the shower head as it’s very low (most places in Nepal are like this to be fair, but seeing as foreigners whom are generally taller than Nepalis will probably be staring at hotels in Thamel, you do question the logic). The hotel is in a quiet area which is good. On check out the card machine didn’t work meaning that we had to rush down to an ATM to check out, almost making us late for our flight! However, I will stress, this place is EXCELLENT...
Read moreWe were extremely disappointed with our stay at this hotel. We booked it last minute while transiting from Kathmandu, based on the reviews and price. Although the room appeared to be recently furnished, our experience was far from satisfactory.
Unfortunately, the cleaning staff seemed to have rushed through their duties due to a late checkout by the previous guests. As a result, many things in the room were not up to the mark. The kettle had food stuck inside, the carpets and floor were wet, and the toilet was incredibly small and cramped. Moreover, the toilet papers were wet and there were used shaving cream sachets from the previous customers in the bathroom. Additionally, we noticed a couple of bottles of shampoo and hand wash in the bathroom that appeared extremely dirty, and we didn't want to touch them. It's perplexing how this hotel manages to maintain such high ratings. Despite the exceptionally low price, even public toilets are often...
Read moreThe hotel is conveniently located in Jyatha, close to Thamel the main tourist area, without being in the really crowded and noisy part of the area. The first room I was assigned was clean, but a bit dark because it had a small window facing the walls of the building itself, and the next day I was allocated a room with window without any problem. The rooms have a small fridge (with content against payment), tv, closet with hangers, comfortable bed. Rooms and linens are clean and well maintained. The hotel has a lift for the upper floors. The hotel offers the opportunity to store luggage and an early morning wake-up call. The staff of the hotel is friendly and...
