Nice hotel at the very south of Thamel. (almost out of Thamel). But it is walking distance to everything - 5 to 8 mins walk to center of Thamel, 5 to 8 mins walk to Asan Bazaar and around 15-20 mins walk to Durban square.
The hotel is located in a very small alleyway. So small that even google map cannot reach it but it is big enough for taxi and vans to pass through. So it is not really a problem. People walk in and out all the time, so it is not really scary.
The hotel itself is pretty clean and decent enough. Despite many problems I face like toilet not flushing, AC keep turning off, water take a very long time to heat up. Though there shouldn’t be all these problems in the first place but every time I ask the front desk for help, there is always someone comes to fix the problem. So they are very attentive and helpful.
Overall it was quite a present stay. The pros of staying here is, it is very quiet at night. There are exchanges shop right outside that gave a reasonable rate. There is always taxi right outside. Stuff around here not as expensive as in central of Thamel. They provide one small elevator. Quite a large room with a very large window. The room also comes with universal power socket and big TV with many channels to watch, and very cold freezer.
Cons - they hardly provide any amenities. No toothbrushes, no hairdryer, the WiFi they provide are kind of slow. Room are not...
Read moreMust read I’m very upset that the hotel didn’t provide airport shuttle service that I had requested but charged me 750 rupees. Its very unethical and unhealthy business practice to collect fees for the service which was not even rendered. It’s not a big amount. Atleast not breaking my bank but to get ripped from a service provider is not something a customer expect. I don’t understand why I was charged shuttle fee. If you go through email conversation we had , hotel doesn’t mention when and how service is provided. I want management to look after the matter and give satisfactory response. While I was in hotel I did hear a customer with same complain but I did not discover the charge until I left hotel. Other than that all expect of hotel is just ok. It’s little overrated I agreed. Room was stinky without AC running. Washroom towels were. never been replaced since bought. Hotel is like a cave between cave nothing you can see from inside. But you can go roof top and see under construction houses and few other things. And roads are always crowded and dusty so mask is important. Break fast was good. Not recommended to drink anything from minibar as the can of beer next door is 145 but they charge you...
