First off, let's be clear there are no two bedroom apartments in this building that I am aware of.... At least not in the traditional sense. What they are offering with that description. He is a standard hotel, bedroom and bathroom sized unit across the hallway from another bedroom, bathroom and kitchen unit. The two combined is what they mean by the offer of a two bedroom apartment for rent. So keeping the logistics of two pairs of keys which would allow the bedroom user to get into the other unit to use the kitchen, if those logistics work for you then this is a great value! The units themselves are a diamond in the rough. They have good quality furniture and doors, and there are plenty of electrical outlets to be had. Keep in mind that they have only been open for about 5 months and it looks like they have been renovating the building since their initial purchase and opening. So yes, the walls in the units could use a fresh coat of paint and the kitchen could be stocked better with more plates and cups. That said, the staff service was outstanding. Ram was usually the person at the front desk in my experience, And every request I had was quickly addressed, including a fix of the shower system in the larger unit bathroom. I get the message that if you have any problems during your stay to let the front desk know as soon as possible so they can fix the situation for you. Ram and the rest of the staff were very nice. They can also assist you with guided tours of the UNESCO world heritage sites. The Wi-Fi was reliable and quick, The refrigerator was nice and cold and about twice the size of a standard college fridge. Really the only unfixable and unpleasant part of the stay would be the night time noise generated by nearby bars.... Which is either good or bad depending on who you are and why you are here. Partiers will absolutely love it and anybody who's seeking to get some shut eye before midnight...well bring your ear plugs. On a positive note, the air conditioning system works very well, and the terrace at the top of the building which is shared with all guests, is a very pleasant place to hang out, and offers shaded views of the city in three...

Review for Hotel Mega and Restaurant

We recently stayed at Hotel Mega and Restaurant as two travelers and had an overall pleasant experience. Here’s a detailed breakdown:

Pros: • Comfortable Rooms: The rooms were equipped with heat and cooling options, ensuring a cozy and comfortable stay day and night. • 24/7 Warm Water: This feature was very convenient and added to the comfort of our stay. • Excellent Room Service: The cleaning staff provided new toiletries (shampoo, toothbrush, toothpaste, and soap) daily and also changed the sheets and towels every day. While we had to request cleaning, the two women managing it were incredibly warm and attentive. • Complimentary Breakfast: The free breakfast was outstanding, offering great coffee, delicious omelets, and a variety of vegetarian options. • Unlimited Free Bottled Water: A thoughtful and budget-friendly perk. • Friendly Staff: The young receptionist was very kind and helpful, especially when she arranged to securely store our luggage during our day trip to Nagarkot. • Value for Money: With the free breakfast, complimentary water, and exceptional service, the hotel offers great value.

Room Tips: • The Deluxe King Bed Room with a balcony was spacious, but the noise from nearby dance bars could be bothersome at night. • The Twin Bed Room was quieter and more affordable, making it a better option for a peaceful night’s sleep.

Areas for Improvement: • Room 305 Issues: The telephone connection in this room was loose and needed fixing. • Hot Water Instructions: The hot water system in the bathroom was a bit confusing; a quick explanation at check-in would be helpful. • Lighting System: The lights only worked after inserting the key into the socket, which wasn’t immediately clear to us.

In summary, Hotel Mega and Restaurant is an excellent choice for travelers looking for budget-friendly options with great amenities and exceptional service. We highly recommend it to Bangladeshi travelers for its warm hospitality, delicious breakfast, and...

Great Great Great Experience. I would say probably the best place to stay in Thamel. Rooms : aftet booking I thought I might have paid more, but aftwr watching room the interiors, quality, space everything.. I would give 5 star. We booked 3bhk, so one room was having central AC and kitchen attached and very spacious. Other two rooms were bedrooms and they were very spacious with good lighting as well. Also, spacious washroom.

Service: You will never find yourself as a customer there, they will treat you as a family member. The manager, He will provide you each and everything whatever you require in detail. Service, The guy was so humble and even specially cooked for us when we wanted to have our kind of dish. CareTaker, Mr. Dhital.. he is a very kind and humble person. He will help you with everything in every possible manner. 5 star to the service as well. I WOULD HAVE GIVEN 10 STAR IF THAT'S ALLOWED.

3.Location : It's in centre so very easily reachable and all the local party clubs and restaurants, locak shops, traditional nepali goods everything was nearby.

From the bery first moment We felt so good, There behavior, hospitality, kindness, gestures everything was quite perfect. They will even provide you with guides as well If you want someone to explain you local things and also If you want to trek kr do some fun activities, or sports they will provide.

I will say must visit, You will not get such a great place as this...

***Review was updated after the hotel acknowledged my feedback during check out and apologized for the cleaning staff oversight, then waived the 3.5% credit card fee. I appreciate the staff taking the time to review and personally acknowledge some minor shortcomings. Located at the end of a short alleyway, the hotel had 5 floors, where the restaurant was up on the 1st floor and additional dining options on 5th floor rooftop patio. Appreciated that the room had a kettle and heater/AC. Rooms were basic - comfortable for sure. Rooms were inconsistent (some had small sofa). We stayed in room 302 and you could smell the stale urine coming from the toilet from time to time in the closest bed to the toilet. When you decide to pass on room cleaning (to save staff time and the environment), they don't leave bottled waters and toilet papers at the door for you, like some places do) but can ask the restaurant for additional bottled water. Overall, I felt that the room could use a repaint and deep toilet cleaning. The rest of the hotel seemed decent. They had an elevator. They had restaurant on 1st floor and the staff were quite cheerful to serve you during breakfast. Breakfast options were limited but the staff did take good care of you. For dinner, they have some decent cooking, especially the biryani veggie rice. ⚠️ There were some dog barking at night that can disrupt your comfort.
