I first stayed at Hotel Vista in February 2025, on Valentine’s Day. I asked if they could prepare something special for my room, and what they did completely exceeded my expectations — it was a beautiful gesture I will never forget.
Since then, I have returned four or five times within the last half year, and every single stay has been better than the last. The team keeps improving things: Nepal flags are proudly displayed again, the rooftop bar (which already has amazing food) now has wind protection, and there is always relaxing background music that makes the atmosphere even more enjoyable.
What truly makes this hotel stand out is the staff — they are always there for you, incredibly helpful, and genuinely care about making your stay comfortable. Whether you travel with family or as a digital nomad working remotely, this place is perfect.
For me, it is by far the most welcoming and family-friendly hotel in Kathmandu. A true Nepali hotel with service and standards that match (and often exceed) what you would expect in Europe. Highly...
Read moreReally recommendable! Stayed here for four nights and felt very comfortable. Rooms are clean and have a balcony (in my case), which I felt very happy about. Staff is friendly and food at the rooftop restaurant was very good. Nice view & chill vibes as they play good music in the evenings. The breakfast is the only thing that could use some improvement. Maybe it would be a good idea to invest in a coffee machine that can keep up with the demand, specially in the morning. Also, some more fruits/fresh options in the breakfast buffet would have been nice. Nevertheless, considering the prices ($ 30 per night on booking.com) this place is amazing. Located on the outskirts of Tamel, so be ready to walk for a bit if you are heading into the busy market. Nights were more or less quiet in this still busy part of town. I would stay at this hotel again !
P.S. I forgot to mention the shower which...
Read moreI booked this hotel by accident. The photos were very nice and there was a breakfast in the price.
The hotel is new. I like plans of the rooms, nice furniture, good quality bed shits and towels, I had even a kettle, tea and cups. And a small fridge. Air conditioner! There is a strongbox in the room and I like a card system.
All employees were kind, attentive and polite. On the roof top is a restaurant.
Breakfast included 5-6 different meals both for vegetarians and for meat lovers people, and some drinks included tea, coffee and juice.
I was a visitor of the restaurant for lunches and dinners as well. Prices are good and food is tasty.
The biggest advantage is that this hotel a bit further from the touristic place and that is why quite enough to sleep during the night. But 2-3 minutes you can be in the center of Thamel and enjoy this overcrowded streets full of fun...
