The location itself is good; however, you will need earplugs to have a good sleep because there is loud music continuously played outside until 2 AM. ||||Cleanness is normal. (Price worthy) ||||Service: The worst. I specifically picked this hotel because they advertised that they had WiFi service and breakfast included. However, the promised WiFi service was unavailable all the time during my stay. I did ask the staff about it, but they just said, "WiFi is unavailable". Breakfast was supposed to be available from 7 to 9 AM. This information was clearly displayed at the reception. In addition, I asked the receptionist if I could have my breakfast from 7 sharp. The staff hesitated a moment but said YES to me. I got up early to make it on time for breakfast from 7 AM and use the rest of the morning to explore the area. However, it turned out that breakfast is available only between 0800-0900! A different staff member said I had to wait until 8 AM. If that is so, then the information about breakfast from 7 AM should not be on the poster at the reception. That first morning, I decided not to wait until 8. I gave up and went out. When I returned that day, I asked the staff if I could have the promised breakfast for sure from 8 o'clock the following day. The staff said, Definitely YES. The next morning at 0800, nobody was there. I had to look for the staff and call them repeatedly. They seemed surprised to see me. I was upset and demanded to have breakfast. I had to wait to get my breakfast until 0815.||||Equipment: The heater function of the AC didn't work the night I arrived, so I put on extra clothes and slept quite uncomfortably. I woke up several times because it was very cold in the room. In the morning, I asked for an extra blanket, but the staff said that the heater function of the AC must be functioning properly. But, that is not true as I had tried all the functions. Anyway, I asked them to fix the AC and when I returned in the evening it was fixed. ||Hot water from the shower didn't run at first. Plus, nothing is written to tell you which faucet is for warm water. It's very inconvenient to use unmarked faucets. After I asked the staff which faucet was for hot water, I had to wait for 5 minutes. However, when the water finally came out it was just lukewarm. Warm or hot water did not run. That, combined with non-functioning AC, means that the first night was terrible for me. ||Overall, the hotel didn't provide the service that is promised. I'm very dissatisfied and I definitely do not...
Read moreI have stayed in this hotel for a week with my boyfriend. We found that the hotel was absolutely great value for money, the room was comfortable, the staff is very friendly and helpful and they also do speak English. ||||However, 2 points to note - while we have read previously about the soundproof rooms and fantastic breakfast, we were a bit disappointed to hear all the party from whole Thamel until at least midnight or later, and to have only eggs as an option for breakfast. This is not a problem though, but the reviews have been a bit misleading on these 2 points. The breakfast was enough for us but if you are a big eater it might leave you hungry. ||||The best part of the hotel is its location - it is really centrally located and is within walking distance to almost every monument. Yet, at first we struggled to find our way back to it :)||||Overall, we did enjoy our stay and the price is perfect for what...
Read moreI originally booked in for two nights but left after just one because it was so noisy. The room itself was great, and the staff were lovely but the noise was just too much for me. There is another hotel, sisters, right next door and their outside common area was on the same level as my room so everything from there sounded like it was right in my room. Then there is the general street noise from Thamel which again was really loud. On top of that there is the hotel noise - the sound from anywhere seems to echo through the whole building. The last straw was the staff in the morning who were up at 6 and seemed to be having a loud heated discussion right outside my room! Such a shame as the room was...
