I stayed here as a base in Kathmandu before and after I went on a few days' trek to Ghorepani. Krishna and Bhim took extremely good care of me, and as I was a solo traveller, welcomed me very warmly to sit around a fire in the courtyard with them every afternoon or evening they caught sight of me coming back from touristing. They also made me feel very safe as a solo female traveller. I shared a Christmas meal with them and other travellers, easily one of the nicest evenings I had in Nepal. I couldn't recommend this place more for any traveller on a budget - you will be very well looked after by lovely people.||||The room itself was bare bones, but it was all I needed, with clean bedding and thick duvets. ||||I actually came to stay here back in December 2019 but it's taken me so long to leave a review that Trip Advisor didn't let me scroll back that far. Me and my friend were doing the Annapurna Circuit Trek and chose Om Tara as our base to rest, organise gear etc. Located in Thamel (6km from the airport) it's on a street which has almost everything you need.
