I knew I wouldn't be disappointed, since Puja and her partner, Dil, also own Metro Eco Hotel in Kathmandu (near Ganesh Temple), and I'd stayed there four times because it's so good. So coming to Pokhara Metro Eco Hotel was like staying in a familiar place. Clean and quiet, Puja and her brother will get you whatever you need and make recommendations as well. It's at the end of the Lakeside row, which keeps it quiet at night, but is within walking distance of all the good shops. Their dogs (Ghorey is now in Pokhara instead of in Kathmandu, and he has a baby brother, Charlie, now!) will keep you entertained. Simple clean rooms, comfortable beds and tasty foods made to your order. And the best part is Puja didi, the owner, who goes above and beyond to ensure you have a worthy stay. Read moreI've had the contact card from Metro Eco Hotel in my wallet since I visited with my Brother at the start of 2019 as I promised myself that I would make the effort to write a review for this lovely place. When you are travelling you stay in many places and most of them are nice, but the helpfulness and honestly of the staff here really stayed in my memory. It's simple, clean and well priced accomodation overlooking the lake and just a short walk from the main stretch, which is infact a blessing as it can infact be a too little busy....
