I attended Whitecliffe in 2015-2016 when it was amazing, that is hen Michelle Whitecliffe still owned it, it was not about money making, it was about quality art education, plenty of space, and fabulous tutors. I went back in 2020 and was so disappointed, the quality of lecturers was terrible, I had to leave after my second year because most of my learning I did on YouTube, we didn’t learn the basics of graphic design or the history, The lectures didn’t teach us how to use important software like Illustrator properly. I honestly just felt this was a way to make money, I couldn’t go back because I didn’t want to waste my money on a degree that was not up to standard and would not prepare me for the industry, please step up your game, if people are spending $8k on education it’s your responsibility to teach the basics, whether you like it or not, is irrelevant. By the end of first year, we had not a lot of knowledge about logo design, or packaging design. It definitely lacked theory in graphic design. We studied a lot of useless other things, but the essentials we didn’t. These days you can study online, if you really want to be a graphic designer learn off YouTube. Don’t waste...

I have no direct experience with this school, but... As a contributor to a JavaScript programming forum, I (and others) have found students from this institute asking for help and showing some of the coding examples they are being forced to learn. To say that the JavaScript being taught is out of date is an understatement. It is essentially useless to learn some of the techniques this institute is foisting on poor unsuspecting students, who will have to then UN-learn so much and instead learn how to do things the correct and modern way. That any school does this is sad, but all too common without outdated textbooks and instructors that simply don't work in the industry. That a school that calls itself "Computer Power" would do this is especially heinous. If this school has any kind of government approval, it should be withdrawn now and until the staff is trained in modern...
