I couldn't tell you how authentic the flavours are, but I just know that I liked it, and I had a good time.
We had tteokbokki, the sizzling plate of squid and pork, and some fried meat dumplings. To drink, we had beer and makgeolli.
For what we had, I though the price was super reasonable, considering Korean tends to be on the spennier side of things.
The sizzling plate of pork and squid was the winner for us. But the tteokbokki had a special place in our hearts (and guts). Really enjoyed the level spice - has a kick, but we're not dying. The tteokbokki does lean on the sweet side, but I'm not too mad. The dumplings were fried really well. And we really appreciated the fact that the whole dumpling fit inside the dipping sauce vessel - such a small thing, but such a big win for even coating of sauce.
We're really getting into #makgeolli, and would recommend giving that a whirl. Slightly sweet, slightly fizzy, anf just a lovely little buzz.
Toilets were clean!! What a win. Service was quick and pleasant.

Read moreFor a pre-comedy show dinner at The Town Hall, we dined in for Korean cuisine at Bon Ga Ne. The ambiance was lively and bustling with many patrons and staff was very efficient, friendly and impressive.
We were promptly seated to review the menu. What was great reviewing the menu were the pictures of every dish. After much deliberation, we settled on the fried pork Meat Dumplings, Spicy Sizzling Chicken and the BBQ Sizzling Pork. These were served with various accompaniments such as kimchi, pickled egg and potato and a dressed green salad. The sizzling dishes were delicious not to mention generous in portion size.
To accompany, we had plum wine, berry wine and cold pressed pear juice. The beverages were wonderful.
Overall, our dining experience at Bon Ga Ne was terrific. It’s a good catch up dinner place, especially if you’re time pressed and want delicious food and efficient yet...
Read moreThis place was recommended to us, so it was our first time eating here yesterday and I can definitely recommend this place!
Reasonably priced food, very flavourful and amazing customer service.
We had the Gochujang pork belly which came with 4 side dishes (kimchi, potato, fish cake and radish) and a rice bowl. The pork was so tender, we loved the flavour and it was cooked with cabbage and onions. The dish is enough to share between 2 people. We also had the Korean Plum Liquor and that was extremely pleasant to drink.
It would have been better if they offer korean fried chicken, but it wasn’t on the menu.
Place was clean and really attentive & friendly customer service.
Overall, I would definitely recommend this place! I can’t wait to go back and try the other...
