Perfect location right in the middle of the nicest neighborhood in Cusco. Super quiet, calm and private both during day and night, with birds singing in the yard. Both room and bathroom was clean and comfortable. They provided natural organic soap with natural scent. Nice bed with a real duvet ! And white soft natural fabric sheets & towel with no smell đ Perfect for sensitive people like myself. The staff was so nice and gave me hot water bottles to put in the bed so I wasnât cold at night. There was also a small radiator to warm up the room / dry my wet clothes. Nice simple breakfast included (with different options to choose from). For hot water in the shower you just gotta wait 4 minutes and then hot water comes đżđ They also offer additional massage.
The only downside is the moldy smell from the bathroom, but you can only smell it when you are in there, so I just kept the bathroom door shut and lit an incense in there once a day to keep the smell nice and it did a pretty good job. I think itâs an overall problem everywhere in Cusco, especially in bathrooms without windows to keep the air quality fresh. I have experienced the moldy smell from bathrooms even in the expensive hotels i stayed in here in Cusco.
Hopefully the staff can start cleaning the loft and walls with âwhite vinegarâ every time the mold reappears to get rid of the smell in the bathrooms.
Overall very nice stay, and fair price for what you get. I do recommend this place and I will choose it again next time...
Read moreThe hotel is in a wonderful location, but as another traveler noted, there are small issues, that unfortunately in our case, turned into bigger problems.
Our room was beautifullly decorated, and beds were super comfortable. But......the room smelled strongly of mildew. We should have complained and asked to change rooms, but we decided to put up with it.
Breakfast was poor.
Maintenance person was often walking around half-drunk. On one occasion we came back from a day out and he was in our bathroom installing a new faucet. My friend and myself (both females) actually felt very uneasy with him in our room. It was 9:30pm and he smelled strongly of alcohol. He also had a bloody tissue shoved up his nostril. The same evening we also noted that the friendly, nice security guy had surgical tape across his nose. They obviously had some kind of physical altercation.
The next morning we packed up to leave and discovered my necklace had been stolen. I reported the theft to the hotel manager who didn't take it seriously at all. She said that there had never been any issues with the maintenance man. I find it hard to believe that she never noticed his drunken state, nor that she knew nothing of him fighting with the security person.
What should have been a great stay turned into a very...
Read moreThe hotel is not bad at all, but it is all the mistakes that made our stay very poor. One evening, we came from to our room to find our doors wide open. Apparently the cleaner did not close it properly. All of our stuff was up for grabs. Also, on multiple occasions, there was no water. The last night the water was down for over 8 hours. So that meant no flushing the toilet showering of washing your hands. After complaining, we were quite chill about it, we got a little discount, but I hope they fix the problems so others won't have this experience. Beds are good, our roof had a window with no curtains so you'd wake up early. Breakfast is poor compared to...
