This was one of the worst hotel experiences of my life. I had booked Standard Double rooms, and when I checked in they claimed they had given me an "upgrade" to better rooms. The rooms however were located in an old wing and looked terribly dated, smelled musty, and had carpets that looked like they had not been cleaned in ages. There were also several stairs to get to that "upgraded" room, which was not ideal as I had my elderly mother and two small children in my party. When I went to the front desk, the lady (who was not very pleasant) insisted that these were "upgraded" rooms even though it clearly did not appear to be the case. ||Eventually we got the rooms that we had booked, but they did not give us two rooms side-by-side as we had requested. We were also quite displeased as the rooms were not cleaned well with dustballs on the ground and hair in the bathtub. Even after we informed the front desk of this, and they claimed the rooms had been "thoroughly cleaned", the dustballs remained in the rooms. Also, basic amenities such as bottled water and a hairdryer was missing from the rooms. The beds were terribly uncomfortable and creaky, and it was impossible to sleep at night with the thin walls and being able to hear every single thing that was going on in the corridors. We were really glad to check-out...
Read moreAt first we were hesitant because we were supposed to be in a different hotel in Cusco , according to our itinerary from Alpaca expeditions where we booked our tour . The hotel is clean , staff are friendly and polite specially Pilar. Stayed there for 3 nights before leaving for Machu Picchu. Going back we were booked same hotel but to our surprise we were put in the attic wherein I didn’t even see a single window and upon opening your room you will be greeted by another stairs going up to your bed. Was really disappointed and talk to the night reception guy and was move to a temporary room for the night . Went to Alpaca Expedition and told them what happened. Ivan and David help us to make sure we be moved to a room suitable for us. Stayed for 4 more days & everything went well. Breakfast was great, staff are friendly and respectful specially Daniela. Without the room incident it would have been perfect but overall I’m still recommending this hotel whoever is...

I had the opportunity to stay at this hotel during my trip to Cusco, and I want to highlight several important features that made our stay an excellent experience. I’m writing this review especially because I stayed at other hotels as well, which allows me to truly appreciate the following points.
First, the hotel has an excellent heating system, which was incredibly helpful while Cusco dropped to -1°C at night. I’ve stayed at other hotels in Cusco with basic heaters that barely warm up the room, so this was a noticeable difference.
Second, the hotel has soundproof windows, which really make a difference when there are all-night celebrations with fireworks in the city—as is often the case in Cusco. Another great feature is the hot water system: the water pressure is strong and consistent, which isn’t very common in many hotels in Cusco’s historic center.
We also really enjoyed the breakfast buffet—it offered a wide variety of food, and the dining area was spacious and comfortable. Finally, the location is excellent: just one block from the main square, right in front of a charming little plaza with cafés and restaurants nearby.
I can’t end this review without mentioning how kind and attentive the staff were. Honestly, our experience was outstanding
