This branch used to be our go to place for lunch or dinner during weekends until my partner demanded something unusual to his sophisticated Taiwanese palate.
We tried their Taiwanese Stewed Minced Pork, Three-Cups Chicken, Sweet & Sour Pork, Oyster Omelette with Sweet & Spicy Sauce, Pork Xiao Long Bao, Vegetable & Pork Dumplings, Siomai and more.
The Taiwanese Stewed Minced Pork is their version of our Pork Adobo. The taste is exactly the same. It's delicious as well!
Three Cups Chicken is closer to our chicken adobo. The sauce is made from equal parts of soy sauce, sesame oil and rice wine. It's good too!
Oyster Omelette. Ugggh! I find this disgusting but my partner really love this dish. I didn't like the slippery stuff of oyster when I ate it. It reminds me of something unappetizing.
They have good Xiao Long Bao here! The wrapper is thin. It's tasty and with soup like our favorite Xiao Long Bao in MM. This ranks #2.
Dumplings and Siomai tasted good as well but not really outstanding like Xiao Long Bao.
We tried their Mango Smoothie. Better take a picture when it arrives. It melts easily. We failed on this.
I couldn't recall the rest of what we had. As far as I can recall, only Oyster Omelette turned me off.
Overall, it was a good dining experience. I really love the comfort this restaurant gave me during our visits. Will definitely come back to try their Iced Snacks!...
Read moreI had eaten here twice there was a huge difference of service from the first and second time. This time around my friends and I were met with such rude and unprofessional staff!
My friend whom I haven't seen for years were catching up while looking at the menu - minutes later this RUDE waiter strides over and asks "Are you ready to order?" (in Tagalog) - to which we say "Sorry, not yet" and then he hastily replies in a RUDE way "Oh?? You're not ready to order?" As if mocking us.
Later when we are ready, we try to call a staff - who do not look our way - mind you this place did not have alot of customers to start with. Once we catch a lady's attention - she literally raises her hand as if to shoo us away and runs to the other table - ignoring.
I'm not sure who is conducting their trainings or hiring these type of people to represent Lugang Restaurant - but I believe this isn't the proper way to approach or even talk to your guests.
Never coming back. Food was mid-quality - what disappointed me more was their attitudes. If you can't serve -...

One of the restaurant’s standout dishes is the Xiao Long Bao—delicate dumplings filled with rich, savory broth. Each bite bursts with flavor, especially when dipped in black vinegar with ginger. Their Three-Cup Chicken is another must-try, offering a perfect balance of sweet, savory, and aromatic flavors. If you’re a fan of noodles, the Beef Tendon Noodle Soup is a comforting choice, with tender meat and a flavorful broth.
Service is generally good, though during peak hours, there might be a wait before food arrives. The staff is accommodating, and their set menus offer good value for group dining.
