Taj Resort and Spa — Hotel in Malay

We planned to check in for 6 days and 5 nights (August 27 - Sept 1) at this accommodation but we checked out abruptly because of some issues we encountered. One, on the first room we occupied, we had it cleaned on the 29th so that all the sand on the floor can be removed because every time we step on the floor it feels like we are already outside by the beach with all the sand in the room. We thought it got cleaned but no, it did not. After we had it cleaned bed bugs came out. Lots of bed bugs. My room mate killed a lot but there were more hidden. We were able to get hold of the hotel manager and informed of this incident. It was a first that we got hold of the manager, we had issues upon our arrival as there was nobody at the reception desk. We got transferred to a new room, but still had some issues related to security. This is just one of the issues we had. Their staff bad mouthed us because we requested a refund due to the issues encountered. The do not allow issuing extra keycards. Even a spare key was hard to get a hold of. There is nobody on shift at night so even if you have issues in the middle of the night nobody is there to respond. Surroundings is noisy. To make the long story short, avoid this hotel accommodation if you don't want to suffer the same...

The room was spacious and well-equipped, with a fridge, TV, and hot and cold shower in the toilet and bath. I loved the location in Station 2, just a stone's throw from the beach, making it super convenient for quick trips to the beachfront. A couple of areas for improvement: there was no make-up room service during my stay, and I could hear footsteps from the hallway, so soundproofing could be better. Additionally, there was no generator when we experienced a few hours of power interruption, which was a bit inconvenient. All in all, for the price I paid, it was worth it, especially with the prime location and comfortable room setup. Would recommend for those looking for an affordable stay...

First of all the room that the gave us was not in the main structure closer to the beach but was a little further, even if the distance was not that great, the transparency is what bothered us. They also charged us 500 php for check in at 13:00, just one hour before the official check in, even though they saw that we had a senior with us that wanted to rest. Moreover, once they gave us the rooms, our room was missing toiler paper and a blanket. In the bathroom there was also a cockroach and at last there was a leak that poured water...
