Lishui Beach Resort — Restaurant in Malay

This review is for their restaurant. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID. Live worm in oyster, and they tried to overcharge us.

We ordered fresh oyster, and found a LIVE WORM in the last piece. It was my greatest nightmare, made me so unwell and puked all I ate. That’s why we chose to eat in this restaurant even if it’s more expensive compared to others, to make sure that oysters are clean, not just fresh!.. The staff just quickly took the plate off. NO APOLOGIES, NO EXPLANATION both from the staff and manager. Only deducted the amount of oyster from our bill. The issue didn’t stop there.

They tried to scam us! First, the cashier told my senior citizen Mom that our bill was 3719php instead of only 3179php, luckily G-Cash didnt work and while waiting to connect to Gcash, my Mom rechecked our bill and told the casheir she overcharged us. And oh, they don’t accept card 🚩.

Then, there’s more, while walking out I checked the “temporary receipt “ (yep, they dont have official receipt) the price doesn’t match what’s in their menu. They tried to overcharge us. The cashier’s excuse- that she was very busy, despite the restaurant being almost empty. Then she said that she forgot the price because the menu is new and has been changed just 1week ago (the menu look very old and worn out). Excuses! Then her Chinese manager’s excuse is that the cashier is new. Who’s telling the truth? 🚩🚩🚩 hmmm, maybe no one.

I love being able to pick out the seafood I want to eat while its alive! I walked about the live tanks and picked out our entire meal. It's different everyday, so you'd better get there early when the selection is more plentiful. We went for lunch on this particular visit, and we were not disappointed with huge array of beautiful seafood. We had mud crab, giant tiger prawns, angel wings (razor clams), regular clams and some kang kong and rice on the side. Seriously, we ate until we couldn't anymore, but we left the restaurant smiling and fulfilled. The service can be a little spotty, but its the kind of the norm with Boracay...
