John Verhel Homes — Hotel in Panglao

Good stay at John Verhel. We stayed one night in a private room with AC. Room was clean, with private little patio setup with clean glasses and fresh water (attention is in the details!!).

The room and bathroom were very lean, good for the price The beach is about 3 min walk, on the way there is a Filipino breakfast restaurant which looked popular with the locals, and a 1 min walk the other direction to the main road where many shops and food options are available.

The AC ran pretty loud so we didn't use it much through the night, but that was fine as the night was fairly cool, enough to sleep through. The area is quiet, minus the few roosters but that's not in...

Really great for the price. You can walk directly to the beach - roughly 300m. Walking the other way 200m you find a sari-sari and a fruit stand, and another 200-300m you are in the center of Alona. Note the road is quite dark at night. The dogs here are super cute. It's clean, and I love having the chairs and table out front. There is a place to hang clothes which is also handy.
