Little break guest house — Hotel in Lagos

Avoid! Zero service and false advertising of key amenities.

Our stay started with an unnecessarily stressful check-in process. Despite requesting the details ahead of time, we received absolutely no check-in information. We were forced to search for a contact number on Google and call the property just to be let in.

This lack of basic communication was followed by a more significant issue: the advertised WiFi was completely non-functional. We had to ask for the code in the first place, and when it didn't work, we called the number back twice with no answer. Ended up getting a call back from the letting agent and not the actual host who was unhelpful stating the owner was no longer working and never heard anything back again.

This stay was honestly a mess. I booked through Agoda but got no check-in info, no door code, nothing. When I arrived in Lagos late at night, there was no sign for the place, the door was locked, and no contact number anywhere on Google Maps or Agoda. I had to wait outside for a long time until a shop owner helped me reach the host. When I finally got in, the room smelled bad and didn’t look clean — there was hair and sand on the bed, and it felt like the sheets hadn’t been changed. Overall, terrible communication and hygiene.
