During a leisurely stroll in the charming part of Lagos, we chanced upon Cervejaria Abrigo Lda and decided to dine under their majestic, old orange tree. The menu, with its reasonable prices, was a delightful surprise. Imagine enjoying a pizza for less than €10 or a sirloin steak at just €16!

Our meal began with a bruschetta and a tomato & mozzarella salad. The bruschetta, fresh from the pizza oven, was decent, but a tad heavy on onions for my liking. The salad was satisfactory, though a drizzle of balsamic vinegar could have elevated it.

The pizza, while flavorful, deviated from traditional Italian standards. The sirloin steak, though of high quality, was disappointingly thin, leading to a well-done interior despite ordering it medium. The choice to pair both potatoes and rice with the meat was unconventional and slightly perplexing.

Service was on the slower side, but the staff's amiability added a warm touch to the experience. Overall, Cervejaria Abrigo Lda offers a pleasant dining experience with a few areas for improvement, earning it a solid...

Had a terrible experience without even trying out the food because the staff was so unprofessional and rude. We asked for a table and one of the waiters asked us to go towards the front and wait. Then we asked the waiter who was standing there if we could get a table and he asked us to wait and we patiently did. And then we saw him clean tables, serve tables, cross us multiple times and ignore us while we stood standing for several minutes. And we could see free tables all this while. And when we finally asked him again when he was crossing us yet again, if we could get a table, he indifferently said "you could take that table if you want" and left again as if this was the first time we asked him that question. I hope the management takes note of this as I saw the behaviour of the staff being called out in other posts as well. The waiter we are referring to was slim and bald. We ofcourse immediately left the place and went to another restaurant which had fabulous food and service. Such a shame they lost a customer because of...

Not bad but definitely not the best Lagos has to offer.

I can’t really fault the restaurant too much. We visited during a busy lunch so the service was a little slow but the waiting staff were moving as fast as they could to be fair. We got the Monkfish, prawns and rice the Monkfish and prawns on a skewer and two margarita pizzas. The pizzas were good no complaints and the other two dishes were lovely too. Personally for me the two monkfish mains were ruined by the sheer amount of coriander on the dishes. When I say a lot I mean A LOT!! If you don’t mind coriander then I’m sure these meals were awesome but personally I’m one of the people who can’t stand coriander and I just couldn’t eat the meal.

So over all not bad, slow service but they were busy. And if you’re like me and can’t stomach coriander make sure you ask that they don’t put it in your meal of you’ll be very disappointed like myself.

The staff were very friendly...

Location is nice, small street with allot of passing people so its a nice place to sit. Clean tables, the waiters were nice but very busy. About the food i can only say that the starters were good. I had the mussels they were good, the garlic bread is actually a pizza so i would take that to share if you visit. Now for the main dish that was a different story, they served the driest and most tastless dry aged meat i have ever had. I also doubt it was dry aged. Couldnt cut it with a knife and waaaaay overcooked to it was like the sole of my shoe. All in our party had the dry aged meat and some where slightly better then others but still way under par. To cheer ourselfs up we had the red velvet cake for desert, they had a lovely one on display unfortunatly that too was dried out and probably stood there too long. A shame really, it was really the worst meal ive had in portugal so far.
