The perfect hotel for our honeymoon stay in Lisbon. Check-in is supposed to be after 3pm but our flight was fairly early and they were able to accommodate us to do check in at 1pm. We so appreciated this as we were beyond exhausted and jet lagged when we arrived.
Our room was spacious and clean with a beautiful view of the city. The little note card with two chocolates, and the water bottle refilled everyday were wonderful touches.
The bed was comfortable for us both which was amazing - my husband likes a hard mattress and I like a soft mattress - the fact that we both slept comfortably for the entire stay was just short of a miracle.
The shower had excellent and reliable pressure and temperature.
The breakfast, oh my goodness the breakfast, there were fresh croissants and different bread rolls, different cheeses, slices of cucumber and tomatoes, boiled eggs, yogurt, granola, fruit salad, mini pancakes, and pasties de nata. There were juices, tea, coffee, and espresso. It was fantastic!!!! Then there was also the afternoon tea/espresso and cake/cookies. It was all perfect.
The location was also excellent. 4 minute walk from Rossio Square, where the metro will connect you to pretty much every where you need to go. The hotel is also between two elevators (one that takes you up to Alfama, and one that takes you down to Baixa). The hotel is up a small hill so if that’s a problem you can always take the elevators.
Staff were friendly and very helpful. I highly recommend staying here if you get the chance! It is...
Read moreThe hotel is very cute, real "home" feeling. There is even a "living room" with snacks and drinks available at all times. We could see all the little details to make us feel at home, like even a handwritten note we found upon our arrival.
The rooms are nice (I think prettier than in pictures) and clean. Breakfast is also nice but since the breakfast room is quite small, you need to book your slot in advance.
Things that could be improved:
we asked for a takeaway breakfast as we had to leave very early in the morning, but unfortunately it wasn't possible. Since we had booked the room with breakfast, we would have liked to have at least something packed for us, like two croissants and some juice. We understand it wouldn't be possible to pack a full breakfast as the bread arrives later, but it would have been a nicer touch to offer something lighter. We were suggested to take something in the "living room", but we just didn't have the time nor packaging to pack it for the trip. the toaster oven available for breakfast should be changed. It is actually very easy to hurt yourself with it, so be careful while using it. I dropped one piece of bread while taking it out as I was afraid to hurt myself, and my husband actually burnt his arm. As it's open, it could be especially...
Read moreThis is one of my favorite hotels I’ve stayed at. It’s super central and close to many restaurants, shops, and stuff. MOST importantly the elevator to the lower back level is a 30 second walk - out the hotel door to your right. USE this elevator. It’s free & saves your knees and ankles 😂
It was very clean. My bathroom was simplistic and white and also very clean and large. Minimalist design but still well put together. The bed was comfortable with a big TV. And I loved the living room area on the 2nd floor with the coffee, tea, water, and cookies & cake! The staff was so nice and professional too. I would most definitely come back and I don’t normal say that. The breakfast was simple but they had scrambled eggs if you asked. And yogurt. I liked it. I also felt super safe as a woman alone bc the front entrance to the hotel locks automatically and needs to be accessed by keycard or by staff. It gives small boutique hotel vibes. Their plates & cups are also all Bordallo Pinheiro IFKYK. Loved all the small...
