I recently visited an Italian restaurant with modest expectations for authentic Italian food, and unfortunately, these expectations were met.
Starting with my order, I chose a spicy Diavolo pizza. To my disappointment, the crust was subpar—far from the crispy, flavorful base one would hope for. Additionally, the spiciness I anticipated was barely present, leaving the pizza bland and uninspiring.
Another concerning issue arose when my friends were offered Parmesan by the waiter. While this seemed like a nice gesture at first, we were surprised to find that the Parmesan was charged extra without prior notice. Transparency about such charges would have been appreciated.
The pricing for beverages also felt excessive. A small bottle of water was priced at €3.50, which seemed unreasonably high given the portion size.
Towards the end of our meal, we were offered Limoncello, which we assumed would be served as complimentary shots. Instead, we were served in champagne glasses and charged €4.50 per glass. While I can understand slightly higher pricing for homemade drinks, this seemed unjustifiable for a simple digestif.
All in all, I cannot recommend this restaurant. Even with a 30% discount through TheFork, the overall experience and value for money were disappointing. I would advise others to look elsewhere for a satisfying Italian...
Read moreAVOID THIS PLACE. The high ratings of this place are completely fake. The pasta tasted one notch up from frozen food. Whatever, we’ve had hit and misses with food and we hardly leave reviews.
But the server here was straight up predatory. He came by to give us “free cherry liquor” at the end just to stand there and watch us finish it and said “it’s good right” and then asks me to leave a good review for them. I said I’ll leave a review after we left dinner. He insisted I do it in front of him and wouldn’t leave. His excuse was “the restaurants all have similar names” so he wanted to make sure we had the correct place. The exchange was getting uncomfortable so I pulled up the place on google to show him I have the right place and that I would review it later. He stood there and said “no, now” and proceeded to click 5 stars on my phone and hit submit. I didn’t have time to stop him because I was actually in a state of disbelief that someone would actually do what he just did. We wanted to leave immediately. We get the check and I delete the review he submitted and the whole night we just couldn’t believe how a place could be run like this. They prey on tourists and don’t let you leave until you leave them a review.
Worst dining experience I’ve ever encountered....
Read moreWe were here on the 22nd of May in the evening. The food was very good and the service was good in the beginning as well.
After we ate our dinner the waiter (man with dark brown hair) came to us and offered us shots of a cherry liquor for free. When he came with the liquor he told us that we have to write a good review for the restaurant in order to get it for free.
In our opinion that was very rude. If a restaurant offers something like this, then they shouldn't want to receive a review back.
Also, we had to wait more than 10 minutes to finally pay our bill.
BUT: The waiter (woman with black hair) was very nice, but you could see that she was overworked.
Good service gets a good review...
