Nothing is worse than inconsistent service. Two stars for inconsistency and bad service. Had the rumpsteak 2 here: once delicious, the other time it was like their cook never cooked beef before. A mockery of extra charred beef that only tasted of burnt meat and loads of pepper. Pepper sauce definitely does not mean drowning it in pepper. Had to wait more than 30 mins for the waiter to be even found to bring it to their attention. A dining experience should never be about hunting for the staff especially when the food is bad and you are hungry.
Not to mention that on some days they are willing to accommodate dietary needs on some they dont depending on how nice the staff is. Portions differ greatly in terms of sides, sauces too, and that is from night to night. As for the offered desserts that are overwhelmingly sweet as compensation for 75 euros worth of steak... Do yourself a favour and eat those at the bakery that is 5 mins away from there. Same price and amazing quality.
The quality of their service is purely dependent on luck and giving a f because it is constantly busy. Being able to dine inside is also simply dependent on the staff s mood, and so are the reservations.
The two sides of the plates all come down to inconsistency. Some days the food and staff will be good some days they will both be improper....
Read moreBled Central Restaurant is an absolute gem! From the moment we stepped inside, the warm and cozy decor made us feel instantly at home. The wooden interior, charming old-timey decorations, and nostalgic music from simpler times created a magical atmosphere that transported us to another era.
The food was exceptional! We started with the best mushroom soup I’ve ever tasted—rich, earthy, and perfectly seasoned. The house-made bread, with the delightful addition of pine nuts, was so fresh and flavorful—it was a perfect accompaniment to the soup and really stood out. The burrata plate was beautifully presented, and the house plate, featuring an array of meats and vegetables, was a fantastic introduction to Slovenian cuisine.
We also loved the house-made lemonade and iced teas, which were both flavorful and refreshing—a great pairing with the meal. For dessert, the pistachio and white chocolate cheesecake was absolutely heavenly, and of course, we couldn’t leave Bled without trying their kremšnita—it was as incredible as we hoped!
We were pleasantly surprised by the reasonable prices, especially considering it’s in Bled, and they even let us park there, which was such a thoughtful touch. This restaurant is a must-visit for anyone looking for an unforgettable dining experience in Bled. Highly, highly...
Read moreWe read a review about people eating here 7 times out of 10 days, so decided to eat here (we were staying at the hotel too). But we don’t get why people would do that 😆 The food was ok. The definition of dumplings in Slovenia is very different from other dumpling countries. Here they come in many forms. These ones were more like wraps or crepes almost (we had other ones somewhere else). And they were ok. The mixed grill had nice flavors, although the sausage was really burned (conveniently the burned part was put downwards on the plate 🤪) and the chicken was dry, chewy and lacked flavor. The vegetables were a bit boring, just paprika and a little bit of courgette and onion.
My partner had a red wine, a really nice one, but that was 6,70 for 100ml! In Holland you always get 125ml and then the price would be 8,37!! Compared to the food they serve, way out of balance and overpriced 😖
The toilet was hard to get in to, especially hard to close the door and there was no lock.
The staff was really nice and gave...
